Friendly staff, excellent large room. Breakfast ok. lifts are VERY small and difficult to navigate with a wheelchair of any size. Required someone to hold doors for me as they closed while reversing in. Assuming accessible rooms (double only) are on ground floor.

Check in was very efficient & staff were friendly & helpful. The bar & restaurant area have been updated nicely. The corridors could do with a little attention now. Our room was a good size & clean. We missed having some decent overhead lighting but other than that we were happy. We had a view over towards the zoo which is always a favourite for us.

The reception staff (Sarah) was wonderful. Very professional, friendly, and helpful. The room was very clean and contained everything we needed. The only issue was parking. It was difficult to find parking and made much more difficult by cars chosing to park in two spaces. We mentioned it to staff but they didnt seem to do anything about it despite having the car reg's of the offending cars.

The swimming facilities are a bit dated particularly mens shower area. The lobby and food area is nice. The beers extortionate. Rooms are clean but wee bit dated .

The hotel is located far from the city center, but we chose it knowing this because it was reasonably priced. It is close to a bus stop, and you can reach both the city center and the airport within 15–20 minutes. Breakfast was extremely poor. Some of the cutlery was dirty, and the food was tasteless. Still, it fills you up if needed. We also tried cocktails at the hotel, but they were not good either. As the hotel is old, the bathroom was in very poor condition. The toilet and the bathtub were outdated and problematic. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the hotel. The staff were polite and kind. We also had issues with the room temperature, which made our stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the armchairs in the room were extremely dirty.

On arrival reception double charged us for the hotel then told us it would be 5-7 days for refund, paid £50 for breakfast for two for 2 days when we got hot food it was cold, upgraded the room and only got one robe for both of us

We use Holiday Inn Hamilton when visiting family.we were little disappointed with our stay in your holiday inn hotel Edinburgh. Staff on reception wasn’t friendly She’s the first person You meet . We thought breakfast was included In the room price. Not all staff like the girl at reception maybe she needs more training . The sink in the room had a crack in it we passed this on when leaving really this should have been checked . Don’t let holiday Inn down

Great check in. We arrived early and our room was ready. Great value for money and so handy to park and get the bus in to Edinburgh.

Room was good and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, small but adequate. We didn’t book breakfast when booking, so it was going to cost us £16.95 ea. that’s steep! Not a brilliant choice, only thing gluten free was bread and bacon (pricey sandwich), and the rest not very good, I’m afraid. Hotel had nice ambience and I liked it well enough.

Everything at the hotel was fabulous, the only issue we had was the morning we were checking out. We were due to check out at noon yet the housekeeper kept knocking on our door trying to get the room done. I don’t find this acceptable when we are entitled to stay in the room until noon. This was reported to staff member on reception who was fabulous.

Lovely clean room. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location with a bus stop right outside the hotel to take you into the city centre. Free onsite parking and a reasonably priced bar. Would definitely stay again.
