Large comfortable room. Supervision at the hotel needs improving (see the negative comments).

Very good comfortable large room with a large bed. Breakfast was on the whole good. Good for getting a bus into the City.

The main bar ran out of food on the Sunday night. An eaten meal was left outside a room (not ours) for at least 36 hours. The lift was unserviceable for the entire stay, we were there for 3 day. There were clearly Supervision issues at the hotel that need addressing.

Comfortable beds, shower is great, the gym is useful too. Close to a bus stop as well.

Having a room with a connecting door is disconcerting. Clearly can hear people in the adjoining room. The curtains keep coming off the railings

Excellent hotel with great transport links into Edinburgh city centre.

Excellent hotel with close walking distance to bus stop for access to Edinburgh city centre £2.20 each way per adult bus fare. Really good leisure facilities with the added bonus of a heated swimming pool which is heated to 32 degrees. Free parking at hotel is a massive plus.

It was clean. Hotel workers were exceptional!

The door was squeaky, no hanger in the room for jackets, only 2 chairs for the room of 3. Poor breakfasts in comparison with 3star standsted Hampton for example. Cleaning wasn't done on Christmas.

The staff at reception and bar/restaurant were extremely friendly and polite. The price of stay was very good as it was last minute. The bed was very comfortable.

Room was above a party that was one until 1am! Reception team not too bothered and could not move our room as allegedly full. Breakfast was appalling, sausages were grey, having very fatty. Not much in the way of fruit or pastries for continental breakfast

Nice hotel with lovely staff

I liked the room size was good we had room 60. Bathroom was very spacious. We only say 2 nights but all staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble

There was a seal miss on our shower which meant the water went al over the floor . And it’s says near Murray field but it’s no we’re near it but the bus service is really good and cheap

Pleasant, comfy and restful stay

Molly are reception welcomed us and made us feel at home right away. The Hotel was very clean, rooms and sheets nice and fresh and very warm and cosy. Made good use of the pool, great leisure facilities. Dinner was good... Close to the airport .. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast was okay, good variety but some of the hot food looked tired (sat under hot lamps too long)... The fried egg I had was a little rubbery. For us this was the only thing that let it down a little... Improved on this and the hotel would get an excellent rating .. i.e very good all round.

Not worth the price paid.

Bed was good size and comfortable.

Dinner served was fair, pasta served cold. Breakfast buffet could have been much better. Service in keeping buffet replenished was very poor. Qualty of food not good. No marmalade to be had. Poor for £200 nights stay.

Extremely disappointing

The room was clean

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was unhelpful and indifferent throughout our stay. The hotel offers absolutely no value for money. There was no provision for drinking water in the room — no complimentary bottles, no jug, nothing. When we asked for water, we were simply told to “fill it from the bathroom tap,” which is unacceptable for any paid accommodation. Basic amenities were completely lacking. There was no dental kit available — not even for purchase — and the reception staff casually stated that toothpaste wasn’t available at all. The shampoo bottles in the bathroom were empty upon arrival. Room service doesn’t operate before noon, so forget about ordering breakfast or even a morning coffee. Concierge services are nonexistent. The only thing worth mentioning was that the room itself was clean — but cleanliness is a bare minimum, not a luxury. Overall, the service quality and amenities were far below expectations for the price charged. Would not recommend staying here

Staff were helpful and friendly, hotel was clean, room was a very good size. Despite there being a wedding on the hotel.was peaceful throughout the evening. Easy access into city centre.

I liked the location and free parking

Didn’t appreciate how loud the cleaning staff were very early in the morning. On the Saturday morning at around 7am he was dragging a trolley very loudly outside the room down the corridor. On the Sunday he was hoovering right outside our room at 8am.

A good break in a lovely and clean hotel

The room was nice and clean. The facilities are well maintained. The sauna and steam room were cleaned to a good standard. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Cost of food and drink in the bar. The location wasn't ideal but there are buses that take you into the centre. The cost of breakfast was a bit on the high side.

The pool was great, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was lovely.

No proper lock on the door to the twin room, which was being used by other people. A little freaky!

Comfortable, ideal location.

The hotel is in a ideal location, not too far from the city or the airport. The staff was very helpful, the prices was as expected expensive but again it's expected. The room was lovely slightly outdated with some carpet stains, a little cold but was rectified by maintenance, but overall comfortable.

A big let down was the breakfast. Coffee, toast, cereals, jams, croissants,fruit were all very good. Everything HOT was very .. COLD ! Sausage bacon beans mushrooms fried and scrambled eggs. haggis and potato scone. Plentiful supplies but cold. For the price its a very poor show.

We were put in basement room with no outlook except the under belly of cars in the car park. The room is tired and in need of attention. One net curtain instead of two. Bathroom accessories ie shower dispensers didn't work, loose tap in the sink, flaking paint on the door and ceiling.

Okay for short stay

I had a mixed experience during my stay. On the positive side, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Free parking was also a great bonus. Initially, I was disappointed that the room had no air conditioning, and the fan provided was quite dirty. However, when I mentioned it to the staff, they responded quickly and gave me a clean fan upon request, which I appreciated.but the fan should have been clean but the fan should he. Been clean the In the first place. Overall, it was okay for a short stay, and the helpful staff made a difference. A few small improvements—especially regarding room comfort in warm weather—would make the experience even better.
