Bernina Express Eco Rooms&Breakfast

Location was excellent. Room was large, airy, nice view of station square. Good closet space, very clean. Small bathroom, but clean. Balcony with table, chairs. Bed was fine. All in all a nice room and a comfy stay

Wifi was very poor..worse we have had in a month in Italy...you could log on but it was very, very slow loading. Basically not workable. Pooe communication about location of property....there is no signage for property as its 4 apartments in an apartment block. You have to checkin at a completely separate location and then walk about a 100 meters to your apartment. None of this is clear in the Booking.com info nor was any of it mentioned by the property in emails before checking in. We did receive an email the day of arrival which contain very oblique instructions to checkin at a separate hotel but we were on trains we did not get this information until after we had checked in. Why this info is not in their profile or why we were not told at the time of booking is a mystery...all very poor as we spent 20 minutes wandering sround looking property signage. One staff ( young girl ) was very very helpful and friendly. We then dealt with an older lady who was somewhat abrupt and terse.

It was a really spacious apartment rather than an hotel room. Very central with lovely staff.

The walk to the booking was less than ideal. Hosepipe running across the path and missing tiles on the way up. Plumbing was strange and gurgled.

Very nice and cute little accommodation in Tirano. The place is well maintained and taken care of. The staff was friendly and polite.

We stayed at the 4th floor of the hotel and our bathroom was close to the chimney from the restaurant downstairs. The result was to have a bad smell from the kitchen to the bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door closed.

Proximity to the station

Finding the place was difficult and confusing despite the message giving directions. Despite the name stating b&b, breakfast was not included which for the price paid should have been. The building the room was in was dark and seemingly unsafe and there was no ability to ensure the door was completely locked as there was no key or lock on the door. We put a chair there to feel safer. Our room was not as described. The photos on the booking site were completely different. I’d booked a twin room with a balcony so that I could air some clothes. There was no balcony. When I questioned this at the other building’s reception I was told there were no other rooms and to contact the owner. The owner has not responded to my messages. The kettle was dirty, had something floating in it and needed a good clean out, hook in the bathroom was loose and a few of the spotlights in the ceiling were not working and yet I was told this room had been recently refurbished.
