Great place to stay, plan to come back as Tirano is beautiful!

Could of been good if staff addressed the issue with heating

Location

The heating is automatically controlled. When we arrived it was sitting at 26c. When asked for it to be dropped we were told just to open the window. This was a ground floor apartment. My wife had 3 uncomfortable nights.

Fantastic for ending the Bernina Express

A great stay following a trip on the bernina express, we loved the decor and breakfast.

Finding the room and hotel instructions weren’t the clearest but we got there in the end!

The check in process changed our attitude to the whole stay!

Location, proximity to the train station

Check in process is dreadful. No signage about where and how to check in. It’s in a separate building with a different name. Geolocator on the website doesn’t help with this. Staff were just about nice about it. We needed to consult a construction worker to determine how we might be able to check in. Air conditioning only able to be controlled centrally, obviously an issue as 2 fans were already in the room in anticipation of this problem. Lighting in the bathroom bordering on unsafe. Normal size tea and coffee cups would be better.

Good hotel but loud concert that went past 11pm

There aren't a lot of choices in Tirano, and this seems like a reasonably nice choice (but see below). It's fairly new, has AC, and included a self-serve breakfast downstairs.

I stayed here last year and this year. We didn't have issues last year, but this year there was a city-hosted "free concert" right outside my window that continued past 11pm, despite there supposedly being a noise ordinance that started at 10pm. What were they thinking? There were people in hotels all around the square (myself included) that had to catch the Bernina Express at 8am, and generally speaking, I thought the whole economy here revolves around the Bernina Express. I called the hotel and they were unwilling or unable to do anything, stating repeatedly it was a city-hosted event. Never again.

Great location, excellent breakfast, great staff.

Breakfast was awesome. Attendant was very helpful. Nice to have a personal escort to the room. Fan in the room was useful, a nice touch though not required.

Close to train station and places to eat

Building smelled damp upon entering the hall way. Contrary to the advertisement, there is NO A/C. There was a fan in the closet ( first clue that you know that they know it gets warm in there). Was told to open the windows( no screens) and since were near the train station all you hear is train noise.

Difficult to find. Located adjacent to train station down a one way street going the wrong way. No name of hotel in front - name is actually Hotel Jane. No staff on site and check in is at Hotel Bernina. Hotel Bernina is about 200 yards to east in front of train station entrance.

Nice room with amazing view

Spacious room, nice design & layout. Amazing view. Comfort bed. Extremely clean and new. When we arrived in Tirano It was our impromtu decision to put up a night in Tirano before heading to Milan.. Had we not booked in advance our hotel in Milan we would have stayed for another night here.

the location was a lot further away from the hotel check in and it was very very difficult to drag a suitcase on the cobbled road. The hallway lighting didn’t work, it was very dark walking to the room, our room window opened up directly to the road to the point we could have unlocked the car parked outside our window. The room was very warm and stuffy. The air conditioning didn’t work. It was so uncomfortable we checked out early.

The room was lovely. The bed very comfortable and the bathroom exceptional. Situated right next to the railway station but it was very quiet at night.

Unclear check in instructions. Alighting the train with our luggage, walking to the hotel only to be told to go and check in at another hotel was very tiring. Very unprofessional and rude person at the reception. There were several hygiene kits that were used in the bathroom and just left there. As if the room was not cleaned.

Loved it so much, I stayed three extra nights.

The room and the location were fantastic. The reception and housekeeping staff were wonderful and the restaurant staff for dinner were lovely. The breakfast staff were a little unwelcoming.

Breakfast was not the best. I think perhaps a bit short staffed as tables were often dirty and the room was HOT! This raised a concern for some of the food which was not chilled.

The bed is dangerous. It seems to be a king size bed, but there were two beds on roots connected with a blanket. They moved and we fell down in between of the two beds onto the ground.
