Beautiful Italian hospitality and joy!

There was a warm welcome from the host. The accomodation was very close to the railway station and there were excellent restaurants next door. The included breakfast was superb. We enjoyed our stay after travelling in the Bernina Express. Directions to access the accomodation were very clear. The property was secure and attractive. We were allowed to leave our bags securely until the train arrived. Best pizza ever next door at the Liberty restaurant. 5 star breakfast included in the restaurant to the right of the apartment.

Nothing - it was a great place to stay and I have already recommended it to my family and friends.

The location right outside the train station was fantastic for our trip to watch the Winter Olympics in the mountains.

Great hospitality and location.

This is a perfect location for taking the spectacular trip on the Trenino Rosso to St. Moritz ( just a few steps away from both train stations) or as a base for exploring the surrounding mountains. The accommodation was comfortable and.spotlessly clean and we appreciated the upgrade to a suite on the third floor. But what really made our stay special was the kindness and hospitality of Losah, the lady who manages check in and deals with any queries or problems on site. She couldn't have done more to make sure we were comfortable, and we felt well taken care of. Losah is a gem!

Nothing. This is not a complaint but if you have heavy luggage or mobility problems just be aware there is no lift and there are 3 floors Losah immediately offered us alternative accommodation in an annexe where there is a lift when she saw that we are both very much on the wrong side of 70 but we were very happy to accept the allocated room and had to dissuade Losah from carrying our very light overnight bags up the stairs! So. not a negative, just ask for a room on the ground or first floors when booking if the stairs would be a challenge.

Great stay

Most convenient location besides the train station, walking distance from city center and main tourist sights. Very comfortable bed, good shower, clean and great breakfast offered in a restaurant nearby. Losah was so kind, friendly and helpful when we arrived, that she even took one of our (really heavy) luggage bags upstairs!

There's no elevator, but we stayed in the first floor, so it was ok.

This hotel is one of the nicest we stayed in while traveling through Italy and Switzerland.

Location from train station was about 5 min walk. Room view was a 10. Host was extremely helpful and polite. Room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast? There’s not a rating high enough. Delicious, and plentiful.

Fabulous location and stay

A very good location and to a very good standard. The communication was good and helpful. The shower was the best and the breakfast restaurant was amazing. All in all a fantastic place I would recommend.

The location was great, just next to the train station. Losah was very helpful with everything, we just stayed 1 night, arrived very early to catch Bernina Express but she explained all very clear, placed the keys as we agreed, we found everything because she sent us videos with location, showed us where to park. Excellent service!

Not 100% satisfied with BFST, we (4 persons) got just 3 very small buns, when I asked for more bread, the waiter seemed we are bothering him. After a while he brought again 3 buns only... we would appreciate if the bread could be on buffet. The same with coffee, we asked for Americano but that was the smallest Americano we have ever had and when we asked for another one the waiter never came back... we left the BFST after longer time of waiting. But the lady with long black hair who seated us was very kind. The location is nice

Great location for a stopover

Great location 5 mins walk from the train station. Took a while to find it, small plaque on the wall with a side gate entrance. Google Maps has the correct location, just need to look very carefully. The rooms are above the restaurant with a small gate on the right hand side. Losah was great, very friendly and helpful and good communications. Small but adequate room with a shared balcony looking onto the square. Good air conditioning. Nicely decorated and a good shower/bathroom. Recommended to try the restaurant next door Merizzi which was very good for dinner and also where the breakfast is served. Stopped 1 night travelling on the Bernina Express from St Moritz to Lugano. Tirano is small and the square next to the station is the heart of the town. An afternoon and a morning was plenty of time to look around.

The location, breakfast, staff were amazing! We really enjoyed our stay! Our room was big enough to fit us both and the little balcony overlooking the mountains was delightful! We loved our stay here. Very conveniently located just a minute walk from the Trenino del Bernina Station.

The size of the room could be just a tad bigger to accommodate 2 people with a huuuge suitcase like ours! We appreciated the fully renovated room tho. Very cute

Perfectly placed next to Bernina express train station and Tirano centre. Losah checked us in and was most helpful with explanations and luggage. The room was spacious, modern, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast in Merizzi restaurant was a bonus.

The room Poschavio would benefit from having a fridge in it.

Most enjoyable stay

Comfortable and quiet room just a few steps from the train station, close to cafes and restaurants and in a beautiful setting. Competent and helpful staff and a very good breakfast. There is a 20% discount on meals at the associated restaurant next door. We really enjoyed our stay here and would return.

They charged us for breakfast even though we told them we had to leave the hotel before breakfast time. We offered to buy a packaged breakfast, but they didn't accept it. They charged us for breakfast even though we told them when we checked in. We didn't stay in the villa shown in the pictures, we stayed in another building across from it.

Fantastic room & breakfast

The room as lovely, very well appointed. Breakfast in the near by restaurant was very good. The room was located right next to the station, which would have been great if the check-in procedure was clearer. We had a very nice taster menu at the same restaurant which I reccomend.

I knew from reading reviews that you needed to check-in at a sister hotel but had no information about it, even though I sent a message requesting more details. After walking up & down the street a couple of times & asking in 3 shops/ cafes we were finally directed to the hotel where we could check-in. We then had to walk almost back to the station where our room was. If this had been explained beforehand one of us could have stayed with the luggage whilst the other went to the hotel to check-in. We were not the only ones having the issue, as we came across a man we recognised from the train, walking up & down the same street, so we directed him to the hotel.

Overall disappointing

Near to the train station

Very difficult to find as no signage for Eco Rooms, you had to go to another hotel reception further up the road and around the corner which we only found after asking lots of people. When checking in we were given a map showing the room but this was also not clear. We had to find a locked black gate down a side alley and wasted more time after a very long day! Perhaps one of the two staff on reception could have walked us round to show us where to go - a little bit of customer care would have gone a long way! we felt a bit like second class guests as the Eco rooms were very different from the hotel we had to check in at. Room very small, only space for bedside cabinet on one side, clear glass windows between bedroom and bathroom/toilet. Photos on website very different. Went for the 6 course tasting menu as it was for a special treat and they gave us 20% off - sadly it was a real disappointment and food was bland and I'm sure was not representative of the best of the region and restaurant.
