Comfort, tranquility and access to all tourist attractions in the area.

Excellent location, very nice owner (Anna), large room with everything needed. From the property there is a very romantic view of the castle on the opposite bank of the river. The housekeeper Rosa cleaned every day and changed the towels.

Excellent location v quite minutes walk one way for boat trips and minutes the other way to the little chair lift and restaurants. Best shower I have ever been in. We love this hotel and would highly recommend.

Fabulous stay at Altes Rathaus, very helpful hosts and wonderful guesthouse

Ana and Rosa were so helpful, we had booked the economy double room which was in a separate building. The room was delightful and more than basic, but I found the stairs difficult. Rosa was quick to offer us an upgrade in the main house, which was spacious and very tastefully decorate.

Nothing- this was a few minutes drive outside busy Rudesheim, still on the river, and the little town had plenty of places to eat and drink

Lovely B&B in the Rheingau region

The staff was very kind and the room was spacious. It was hot the first night, and requested a fan, which they promply provided. The room was cleaned every day, which isn't always common for a B&B, especially during covid. The wine bar next door is also awesome!

Beds could be comfier but considering the cost of the B&B it's on par with what you might expect.

Great apartment in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the Rhine, castles and vineyards

The apartment is on the top floor of an old town hall house, right by the Rhine river, in a quiet small town called Assmannshausen. The location is amazing with the Rhine river right in front, a wooden hill with a castle right on the other side of the river and another castle just downriver. The town is small and quiet, but still has good restaurants and there is a nice wine bar right next door. The apartment has three nice bedrooms with double beds, nicely decorated and comfortable. The living room is large and has a small platform from which it is wonderful to sit and watch the Rhine flow by. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the bathroom is also large, with a good shower. When we arrived, we were met in person and shown everything, which was very helpful. There is also a parking spot, which was a great convenience.

Large modern and clean apartment. Great location to explore the Rhine. New family owned wine bar nextdoor with a great selection of wine and snacks. Staff all very kind and helpful.

Rest and Recouperation

Special thanks to Anna and Rosa, we were delighted with the care and attention given to ensuring we were comfortable and relaxed. The team took relevant precautions due to Covid-19 which put our minds at rest. The location of the BnB is picturesque, and away from the hustle and bustle of Rüdesheim while remaining well connected with a 3 minute into the town centre. As two teachers in need of a short pause, this was exactly what we needed and the service was more that we could ask for. Thank you.

We had an amazing stay!

Very good service. We arrived earlier than expected but that was no problem. The room we got was very large and had a beautiful view on the river Rhine. There is a nice wine bar next to the residence with nice local wines. Our host gave us nice advice on things to do during our stay.

Etwas enttäuschender Aufenthalt.

Eine tolle Lage mit schöner Aussicht. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Im Vorfeld waren die Gastgeber sehr entgegenkommend für eine Umbuchung.

Die Ferienwohnung ist absolut in die Jahre gekommen, anders als auf den Bildern dargestellt. Kaputte Küchenmöbel und sehr alter Ofen, ein Schlafzimmer ohne Abdunklungsmöglichkeiten und ein Babybett ohne Matratze.

Mein Aufenthalt im Guesthouse Altes Rathaus war unvergesslich. Die ruhige Atmosphäre, die wunderschöne Natur und der Blick auf den Rhein haben mir unglaublich gutgetan. Mein Zimmer mit Flussblick war traumhaft – jeden Morgen meinen Kaffee auf dem Balkon zu genießen war pure Entspannung. Alles war sehr sauber, und Frau Trapp war stets erreichbar, aufmerksam und außergewöhnlich gastfreundlich.

Das Einzige, was gefehlt hat, war das Frühstück – in dieser herrlichen Umgebung wäre ein Morgen mit Frühstück perfekt gewesen.

Ein Traum direkt am Rhein

Es war sehr sauber, wir hatten das komfortabelste Bett, die Dusche war ein Traum. Die Zimmer hell und geräumig, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auf dem Gang gab es immer kostenlos frisches Obst, Gebäck und einen Kühlschrank mit Getränken (kostenpflichtig). Direkt nebenan gibt es ein kleines Bistro mit großer Terrasse und einem schönen Garten mit Blick auf den Rhein. Es gab leckeres Essen und eine kleine Weinverkostung. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und betreut, konnten jederzeit Tipps erfragen - alles perfekt! 10/10

Dank eines Systemfehlers bei Booking gab es eine Doppelbuchung. Frau Trapp löste dies aber schnell und unkompliziert, sodass wir eine Nacht in der großen Suite (Upgrade) verbringen konnten. Kein Aufpreis, keine Diskussion, sehr gastfreundlich.
