Good value, clean with good breakfast 10 min by car from Rudesheim am Rhine

View of river from most rooms. Very nice stay. Clean and cozy hotel with good buffet breakfast and plenty of tables in a nice dining area. Room and bathroom very clean and beds very comfortable. Welcoming staff and free parking, since it is located just outside (10min drive) of busier Rudesheim & the Xmas markt during our stay. Elevator to floor levels is a big plus if you have bags!

Thought it was closer to Rudesheim am Rhine, but 10min drive from Hotel Lamm to Xmas markt was no problem. Parking was a bit harder to find around the Xmas markt, but found free parking after a few minutes of searching.

A very good overnight stay right by the Rhein, in the middle of the Rheingau region.

Very nice breakfast. Brilliant walk in shower and comfy beds. Note the hotel's restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so it's only a skeleton staff on duty. Very good dinner up the street and over the rail line - at Berg's. It traditional food and they are vineyard owners - very good pinot noir from Rheingau.

Front door closed on Tuesday!

Incredible, peaceful home-base for exploring the Rhineland

Everything was amazing. Would be happy to come back here anytime. Very nice breakfast, and facilities were very comfy and cozy. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms, and found it was cool, breezy, and delightfully charming.

No complaints--only that it was booked up for the weekend, so we didn't manage to extend our stay!

Rhein River delight

The hotel is located a short distance from Rudesheim am Main. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated in decor however the beds were very comfortable. As it was extremely hot during our stay, and the room was NOT airconditioned, we were offered a second fan for our room. Thankfully during the night we opened the windows and were able to cool the room down further. Bathroom was very good - the shower was amazing. The hotel has a lift. There are a number of eating options out side of the hotel within easy walking distance.

Our room was not air coditioned and was very warm until nightfall. (The temperature during the day was 35C and there had been consistent hot temperatures for approximately a week). The hotel offers a daily 3 course meal but not a la carte.

beautiful well appointed room, everyone was very kind and we loved every minute of our stay there.

our room was large, the bathroom was nice sized and it was very clean. we had 2 balconies and the view was amazing. the breakfast was super good, a very nice spread. we only had dinner once at the hotel and it was outstanding! price was very reasonable. the host was so warm and generous and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. would highly recommend staying at the Lamm hotel. we hated leaving. the little town didn't have anything in the way of shopping but there were lots of places to eat and they were very good. Rudesheim is very close and they have everything you need there. Quaint little town right on the Rhine. the boat dock was across the street and you could take it to most of the towns that run along the Rhine. lots of beautiful trails to hike and walk.

Lovely area

The hotel is in a lovely location, right next to the River Rhine and in a lovely village. The room we stayed in was large, with two windows - one to the river and one facing down the village. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows less so. The bathroom was large and well equipped. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and the one meal we enjoyed there was well cooked and served, although the menu was a set one with little choice. Car parking is available, but it's restricted in numbers and where I parked my car was a bit tight to get in and out.

Bit hard to put my finger on, but there wasn't a particularly friendly attitude from the management team. They certainly answered all my queries, but it was in a rather superior and dictatorial manner and didn't encourage me to ask again - I got more pleasant and ready help from the Italian Restaurant around the corner and the Pension Schuster staff where we ate a few times. I would divorce the lady who served drinks and meals from the above comment as she was lovely. I guess the relevant question is, "Would I stay in the Rheinhotel Lamm again"? Well, no I wouldn't.

A room with a balcony overlooking the Rhine - wonderful

The bed was very comfortable and the room had a balcony where we could watch the traffic on the Rhine. The breakfast was large and had lots of options. Parking was great. The AC cooled off the room at night nicely.

The air conditioning in our room didn't operate all the time - as if it was on a timer for evenings only. The hotel did not offer lunch and there were not many options nearby.

Excellent Hotel with very friendly staff

Great location. We choose our room with a/c it was very comfortable and look recently renovated. The staff wasb really friendly and gave us the perfect advice for the two days we were there. We would recommend this hotel without a doubt. We will definitely go back again.

Great place

When I read the glowing reports from other people I was rather sceptical but they were right. It's an excellent place to stay, well run, friendly staff, several with excellent English, comfortable room and very good buffet breakfast. Definitely a place for a repeat visit. It's about 6km along the river from Rudesheim but is part of that town. We drove between the two but saw others taking the train. Watching the river traffic is very interesting.

Parking could be variable. If you can't park outside the hotel they have parking for about 7 cars outside the old fire station next door. I was told they had more than 20 parking places available for guests, but we didn't need to use them.

A very convenient hotel for an overnight stop or a stay of a few days

Great location right on the river just a mile from Rudesheim but much quieter and with parking right outside.

From past experience staying here the standard rooms are small. An inexpensive upgrade to a superior room is advisable. We stayed in room 25 with views directly over the river.

The room was a good size and situated at the back it as very quiet and had a beautiful view of the terraced vineyards. Easy off street parking. The restaurant was very good.

Very nice staff, so clean. Lg breakfast. Balcony room with views of the Rhine and Castles. Adjustable beds, to raise your head or feet. 5 min drive to boat cruise and Christmas Markets. But out of all the traffic and noise. A Gem.

Great location … avoid the traffic and take the scenic lift to and from Rudesheim. Super staff, great meals, rooms are spacious, well furnished (we even had extra chairs!) and everything worked … including the coffee maker.

Exceptional Property in Assmanshausen

Standard room was extra large, all staff exceptionally helpful, well lit (best we had in Germany) with great breakfast buffet. Cleaned and refreshed room each day. Very quiet room. Minutes walk from the Rhine Boat and train station. The restaurant was excellent for dinners.

Comfortable hotel in a nice spot on the Rhine.

The hotel was recently renovated, so the facilities were up to date and clean. The airconditioning worked very good. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Having dinner on the terrace was nice.

The wifi could have been faster (max 20 Mbps).

Nice and relaxing hotel with excellent service.

Nice, clean and cosy family owned hotel. We stayed here for a few nights so we could discover the region. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, friendliness and service level of the staff. Our room was big and we had a lovely view of the Rhein. They were also very considerate of dietary restrictions and provided a gluten-free breakfast every morning. This hotel is located in cosy but small village Assmannshausen, which is a 5 minute drive from the busier Rüdesheim-am-Rhein village centre. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing place to stay in the Rüdesheim am Rhein area.

Exceptional

Completely satisfied with our stay at the hotel. We have stayed before and will stay again if visiting this area. The food we had, both breakfast and dinner was very good and the owner provided us with secure parking for our motorcycle 👍. If you are planning motorcycle tour near the Rhine, then stay here.

Breakfast and evening meal good. Good location. whilst not having a river view we had a side room from where if standing by it we could see the river and some vineyards

The initial greeting by the person on duty was not particularly welcoming but other staff made up for his lack of welcome.
