Great Breakfast. I went to relax and not leave hotel. I paid a lot for 1 night but wanted to try the place. I am in my 60's and there were lots people around for a Sunday thru Monday. I was thankful for the parking but, You have to go get a parking pass to use the parking - so before check in I couldn't park yet. It looks like they are building a 3rd pool on ground level. The indoor pool was very nice. You can't beat the location on the Rhine. My room overlooked loading and offloading of the ferry across Rhine River.
Once I got there I saw it advertised they had rooms on tues, wed, thurs rooms for 99 Euro. - so that was kind of a bummer. I had already paid through booking.com about 279 dollars. Its one of those places where the people run for all the lounge chairs and save them for the day-not a fan of that either. Spa services were booked up upon arrival

Beautiful decor. Saw lots of comments about poor staff but we didn’t experience this. The breakfast was incredible and the pools were great!
We booked the Just Hygge Suite (£500 for 1 night) and had the world’s worst view. Looking directly onto a building site. Appreciate they are building an extension and new pool but would have expected some warning/notice of this before booking so we could have made a decision! Paying this rate you don’t expect this view (see images) :(

I liked the food in Bootshaus and the breakfast.
Lack of staff everywhere, very packed roof top with people smoking around you and screaming kids, too expensive food (a piece of bad cheesecake in the Boothaus costs 24€!), no help to open the (broken) sun umbrellas, nobody answering at the parking lot in case of need, no room to walk to the showers in the inside pool because there is not enough room between the beds and the pool, no coffee machine and very basic cosmetic stuff in the bathroom.

Location was good; right on the river with a promenade to town. Clean and modern. Plenty of selection at breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Reception person was very helpful and empathetic when I injured myself.
Parking plentiful though busy so difficult to find a spot especially with a large car and bike rack. Our room (River-view Koje) was disappointingly small but adequate (we found it difficult to find space for our 2 suitcases). No fridge, mini-bar or kettle. The safe is at ground level in the wardrobe meaning you have to get on your hands and knees. Toiletries were basic and towels were small and thin. Bike storage exists but isn’t big enough to meet demand. Service generally was slow and inattentive. All of these comments are in the context of the price we paid as I had expected excellence. If I’d paid half as much frankly I’d still have felt grossly over-charged.

Nice but small rooms, nice wellness
No room-service at this price was unexpected. Exceptional high price for essentially bed&breakfast service.

Its a boutique hotel on the Rhine river, with an amezing view . the restaurant is very good and the service we got there was the best you can ask for. the sauna is great . Location is very convenient close to the Promenade. The free parking next to the entrance is very convenient.
There is no room service , i called to ask for a battle of water and the guy that answer told me to go get it my self , no one to help you with the luggage. The staff who did the checking was very unpleasant,

Wonderful experience at Papa Rhein Hotel; everything was perfect from check-in to check out. Breakfast was delightful.
We enjoyed two superb dinners at the restaurant (reservations recommended); they offer daily menus so you can have a different culinary experience every night. Didn't use the SPA, but it was certainly beautiful.
The hotel is very new, spacious and the nautical decoration is gorgeous.
The ferry is just steps away. Walking distance to Bingen.

Beautiful hotel, though 350 euros for a double room was too pricey
Too pricey. Had expected to be able to swim in the outdoor pool but this is actually only 60cm deep.

It’s a wonderful experience for my wife and me to stay in Papa Rhein. Papa is the closest hotel to the waterfront. Especially, our mini suite has 180 degree and great view to the Rhein. The room is neat with proper size. The breakfast provides high quality foods, fruits and drinks. One of the best things is the ferry is just nearby the hotel. You can go to the opposite bank, the famous wine town Rudesheim, in 10 minutes.
There is no water boiler in the room.

Nice location, promising concept, food/dinner at bootshaus restaurant was good!
quite unkind and unpersonal services, packed pool area at the nice lido deck with all chairs reserved with towels, despite no people to be seen. breakfast with long lines for coffee and limited offer. rooms are rather cheap and plastic chic. we enjoyed a view to some unkempt parking lot area with steel containers, which might belong to the concept.

Beautiful facility and socially conscious standards. friendly environment for couples and for families. The location is perfect right off of the water with ample parking spaces and views to die for! Delicious breakfast!!
The air conditioning was not very cold, typically in Germany this would not be a problem but on the specific date of our travel it was unusually warm. Directions on how to use the air conditioner would fix that, no problem.

I didn’t like my view from the room overlooking the car park. I liked that it had air conditioning. The breakfasts were very good the bar service was nice and friendly. The spa pool and area were good.
View from my room. Too much unnecessary furniture in the room , oversized chair, small table. There was no where to put your case.

Location, the hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms are well appointed. comfortable beds. Nice breakfast, nice food.
My feeling is the hotel is set up more for the convenience of the staff and not the guests. Both bars were closed for the whole of our stay, who has ever heard of that in a hotel? The first night there was a sign in the main bar saying the bar was closed Monday and Tuesday. My partner asked at reception on Tuesday (after the sign was removed) and was told very rudely that the bar was closed till NYE. As someone else commented here, the self service bar was also badly stocked. You could order drinks with meals from the restaurant staff but the heart of a good hotel is the bar area!
Breakfast was good with good choice, but having 1 drinks machine to service everyone is a disaster, the queues were really long. A small tip also, a buffet breakfast is totally acceptable but if you want to compete as a good class hotel then serve good coffee to your guests by staff made by a proper machine.
Restaurant staff very good and polite. Reception staff were not very friendly and sometimes quite rude.
We ate both nights in the restaurant but be warned, you need to book early otherwise you won’t get a table. We tried to book the day before arrival and were told there are 2 dinner sittings 20.30 & 17.30! unfortunately we had to eat both evenings at 17.30. Again if you want to charge top prices then you need to offer your customers choice. Who would choose to eat dinner at 17.30? unless you have small children perhaps.

Breakfast was amazing and included in the room fare. Staff were unbelievably friendly and it has been such a pleasure to stay here. Can’t wait to book our next ‘staycation’ here in Bingen!

Location is very nice.
The staff is not friendly and very unprofessional. They make many mistakes with serving the dinner that makes you feel that they are not really enjoy what they are doing.
