Satisfactory but not restful due to noise

Conveniently located, good size bed in the bedroom. Wonderful shower, plenty of hot water. Rooms Kept nice and clean by staff. Convenient parking, helpful and friendly staff.

On a very very noisy main road with old and ineffective double glazing, so loud, constant traffic could be heard at all times even through the early hours. A little tired and dated, with stains on the chairs and sofabed which was also very uncomfortable and perhaps only suited to a one night stay at best.

Basic but not worth what I paid

The staff were helpful and the property was in a good location

The heating in the room didn’t work which made it very difficult to heat the room with a small portable heater. Also there were stains on some of the furniture.

The location. I always wanted to try staying in Jesmond. The surrounding was calm, close enough to walk to the Metro. The bed was comfortable, and the apartment was so cosy.

Lovely stay

We like the size, it was just perfect for us, kitchenette was also fab, safe parking at the holiday inn car park and lovely staff

Upholstery was stained quite badly. From dining chairs to yhe sofa. Shamr that some guests didn’t respect the property and shame that it wasn’t cleaned. Also location at the main and busy street so you could hear the traffic until late night and very early in the morning

Another great stay

I’ve stayed here a number of times now and that’s the proof. You get independence for making food, a carpark, cheery check-in and a great price. Downsides are it is quite a walk to the centre but Jesmond Metro is 2 mins walk away (or hire a scooter). Internet can be patchy. I was on the ground floor but you may find yourself up 3 flights of stairs.

Good location, comfortable beds, kitchen area and welcome basket very nice touch

Staining on furniture made it feel a bit grimy. Thin walls so could hear other guests in building. Some bathroom tiles loose so had to watch when walking. Could use a bit of maintenance or deep clean but overall good stay for the price.

Great area/location (1 metro stop from the city centre) and hotel staff were great ! Metro is a 2 minute walk. Apartment has everything you need for your stay and it’s clean. It’s also comfortable and quiet.

Not awful, but a few little things need addressing in the room.

Convenient location, good value for money, on-site free parking and breakfast

A few little details needed addressing. Water in shower was extremely hot and you couldn’t really make it any cooler so it was difficult to have a shower because of the temperature. We also had a power cut in the room, and no internet service at all on the Sunday morning which was inconvenient as we were attending a surprise party and needed to keep in touch with other family members.

Was a bit cold as heating was not sufficient especially on the hall way within the apartment. Bed was a double bed so was a bit small for more than a person. Tub drain was slow so made shower a bit tricky. TV were not smart - so could not connect to internet or watch Netflix/youtube.

desk, table and mini kitchen useful. Great location we were on the ground floor as we had a dog staff super friendly and helpful

noisy generator, bed small and pushed against wall so could only access from one side. Over head shower was no more than a drip, the hand held was powerful, but flooded the bathroom

A great place to stay for a while if you need to be around the city but prefer being a short ride out .

The location is great . Not at all far from the city centre. The staff were excellent. I booked it for my adult daughter to stay while I was overseas and I rang them a couple of times making enquiries and they were only too happy to help .

The only issue an it won’t matter to everyone is the stairs but they were helpful with the luggage . It doesn’t have a washing machine in the room but you do have access to a laundry area right next to the apartment . Theses aren’t really issues at all just something to note . It wouldn’t stop us from choosing there again.

Would stay again

Spacious apartment, great dog friendly place to stay with bonus of inclusive parking. Short walk to Jesmond Metro station. Comfy bed, and our room was very quiet (back of property).

Apartment could do with some TLC - plug in bath is stuck closed/not able to be adjusted so bath fills with water when you shower, mirror on dressing table is coming apart, wardrobe doors rattle noisily when you're walking around in the bedroom. Bright blue LEDs on bedside lamps illuminate the room when you're trying to sleep.

This room shouldn't be rented to anyone it needs complete refurbishment. The manager agreed and refunded our stay.

"Hotel side of apartment was very good, clean and welcoming.

The aparthotel Bedroom and Bathroom were very clean and comfortable. I viewed them standard hotel accommodation.

The "sitting/kitchenette" area was grubby. Kitchenette particularly was very small and had crumbs over the stove top. Didn't appear to be clean and the "unit" was rather "dilapidated" in appearance. It was awkward to use. On a very busy dual carriageway road. The Wifi code didn't work. I didn't stay for my 2nd night decided it was better to just head home.

A well located and comfortable hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located on a main road in Jesmond, near to a metro stop and a short walk into the city. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, although the decor would benefit from some TLC in areas, with a small but well equipped kitchenette with cutlery, crockery, and washing up supplies - although do note that it appears that the studios do not have a hob, but a combi oven/microwave. Heating controls are available in each of the rooms to adjust temperatures and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. The reception staff at the Holiday Inn are welcoming and helpful - when I had an issue with the heating in one room, they were able to help promptly.

The wifi requires you to sign on each day on each device and this process can be quite temperamental - it always took multiple attempts for me to log on for one of my devices, as the access page either didn't load or, having entered the password, didn't allow access. However, once I gained access, the wifi worked well.

Location was amazing, staff at check in were friendly & efficient, apartment was a good size & clean.

The spare bedding did not have covers, and the sofa bed, although it looked hardly used, had a stain on the top cushion that should have been cleaned off.
