Comfortable, clean and friendly

The location is off the beaten track - which makes it a peaceful and quiet stay - but some customers might want to be closer to the buzz of the city - it's less than 10 mins walk from the quayside so not too far away from everything. Our room was lovely and comfortable, clean and had everything we could need. I loved the noticeboard with a calendar of the month and what was going on in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a good choice of stuff to eat - although as a veggie it was slightly more limited.

the veggie options for breakfast had to be requested the day before (or wait maybe 20 mins on the day) - which we didn't do as we had no idea what we'd want to eat the following morning at a specific time. I did request a boiled egg on the first morning, the staff member working asked the kitchen and they said they only do boiled eggs during the week - which seemed odd. But otherwise that was the only thing I didn't like really, the food and quality of it was good.

Excellent reception from the onset beautiful studio and lots of extra in the price!

We arrived early and we were met by a lovely lady who was working that day (Friday 13th) who ensured that all our needs were met. We had advice on local restaurants and shops. She gave a comprehensive review of the facilities that were available to us during our stay. The studio was exceptional with all our needs met. It was clean, spacious and had everything that you could ask for. The breakfast and parking was included in the price. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. There was plenty of parking and the spaces were generous on the car park. There were hot drinks available throughout the stay which was great when returning in the evening. The premises were clean and the local places were an easy walk. We went to the Quayside area, city centre and the city hall. The staff were all very friendly and we would 100% return.

Greeted by very friendly and helpful reception personnel, both when we arrived and when we left. The room was well equipped and clean and exactly what we were looking for. The room was a little cool but we were provided with additional heating which rectified the issue.

Fantastic value for money

The fact we had breakfast included was a nice touch. Rooms were so comfortable and had everything you needed. Location was perfect. Most staff were lovely helpful and friendly. Shower was lovely

The handy man that didn't seem very enthusiastic about his work l. When reception asked him to go up to our room he wasn't very impressed about been asked to do so. My partner also said good morning and happy new year to him the following morning and he grunted. Lighting was an issue. Had to turn on master light before kitchen would come on. Master light was a single light right above the bed very bright. Non of the lamps worked either.

Enjoyed our stay in Newcastle and would recommend the Staybridge Suites to our friends and family.

The location although not right in the city centre, the distance into the city centre was easily walkable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Having a kitchen within the room was of great benefit.

The bed whilst comfortable and clean we found quite warm during the night due to the type of doona. We had turned off the air conditioning when we arrived as the room was warm.

Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We said we would be arriving before check in time, our room was ready for us even though we were early, very much appreciated. Room was spotless with a great view over the bridges. The breakfast was amazing buffet style.

Lovely apartments, poor location for families

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartments are lovely very clean and spacious. Loved the pantry and overall facilities were very nice, plenty of spaces to park.

The sofa bed was beyond uncomfortable leading to a very poor night's sleep. Breakfast finishes at half 9 which we missed after a bad night and trying to get 2 toddlers ready in the morning would be better if it finished at 10. For us travelling as a family with prams the location is not good we had to walk over a lot of ice (and through a crack den!) to get to the centre, wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have the prams.

We were a few minutes early for check in and because we had to wait for our room to be ready we were upgraded to a quayside view room and there was a free complimentary tea/coffee machine we were told to use while we waited which I thought was a nice little extra touch ! Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Excellent stay!

Hotel was very clean, the communal area's smelt amazing. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Plenty of parking too. Room was a good size with everything you would need.

Found the room slightly cold, even when turning up the air con to 21 degrees. Would have been nice to have a bath as we stayed for 3 nights and I like to have the choice between a bath and a shower.

Great hotel, would stay again

Really great hotel near the city center of Newcastle. Modern and clean decor, massive rooms with little kitchens, massive double bed and great shower. Reception staff very friendly. Free tea and coffee

Whilst breakfast had a great selection, lots of things were very stale like the pastries, bagels and the hash browns were like cardboard. This wasn't really an issue as there was lots of other bits to choose from but was a bit of a shame

Amazing accommodation for families.

Fantastic well equipped room with friendly staff.

Breakfast on the Monday finished at 9:30. We didn't realize that for the hotel this meant the whole breakfast was closed down at 9:30 and all items were taken away bang on at 9:30. In other hotels we have stayed, when told breakfast is 7-9:30 we have took it as you have to arrive by 9:30.
