Room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were offered an upgrade but we were expected to pay for this (which we did as the more expensive room was ready), I thought they could’ve offered us this for free as a gesture of good will like other hotels do

magical city break

large room with excellent facilities including a N64 games console. we booked the townhouse room which was perfect for a family of 4, our kids ages 9 & 7.

The room could do with a new mattress, some springs had popped.

Very relaxed and easy visit. Deceptive but a sign of good planning I’m sure. Rooms great size, and well thought through. Lovely views of the Tyne. Restaurant and breakfast excellent.

I would use this hotel again but not the restaurant

Convenient location for riverside activities. Clean and comfortable with easy online check in and out. Free soft drinks in the mini bar.

Toilet with a sensor light that came on when entering. This meant that middle of the night visits resulted in waking partner in room. Excellent black out curtains but gap to external door meant light shining in from hallway. The onsite restaurant was overpriced with poor service poorer and food.

Modern accommodation in Newcastle center

The Newcastle Innside Melia offers a modern and comfortable accommodation in the city center at walkable distance from the rail station and the shopping area. The room we got was spacious. Nothing was lacking. The restaurant managed by Gino d'Acampo chain has a good standard, with a huge menu and a great choice of wines and spirits too

It would have been nice to have a mirror in the room. Then a personal detail. As I didn't feel very well we asked for a late check out (from 11 am to 1 pm). Just 2 hours. We were extracharched an additional 15 gbp. I didn't find it very accommodating. It seemed to contrast with the friendly and welcoming style of the reception staff after our 3 nights stay.

A handy, very clean hotel but crazy room layout!

The property is very well presented, the staff are all super-helpful and it is very clean. The location on the Quayside is great.

Who designed the stupid room layout?! The shower and basin are open planned in the middle of the room. You can see everything! This is a little inappropriate, especially if sharing with a work colleague or friend.

Can’t find a single fault with the place.

Stayed here for a second time after being so impressed with it the first. I literally could not say a single fault about this place. I love the location right by the quayside, the rooms are modern, a great size, nicely decorated and clean. This should be anyone’s go to when stopping in Newcastle.

Were originally strangely allocated a wheelchair accessible room which we hadn’t asked for and didn’t like because of low wash basin and roll in shower, rails etc (ideal for disabled customers) even though we had booked several months in advance. Kindly moved to a standard room after complaining

No Fog on this Tyne!

The location alongside the Tyne was perfect and I was fortunate to secure onsite parking,as the 3rd party car parks are a walk away. The room was in modern decor and was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant had great river views and was light and airy and the buffet breakfast was generous and well prepared.

Stavros checked us in he was so polite and helpful. Give my husband a free drinks token for his birthday. The whole place smelt beautiful and clean. It’s our 2nd visit and will definitely return. And the breakfast was amazing x

A great place to stay right next to the River Tyne.

The location is excellent. Our top floor corner room overlooking the Tyne in two directions would be hard to beat.

The room only had one chair. Although we asked every day of our stay for another chair, one never arrived. In a similar vein. The glass soap dish in the shower was cracked through and dangerous. Nothing was done to rectify this.
