Disappointing no breakfast....

Rooms and beds comfortable

I booked this as a Xmas gift for my 2 daughters and son in laws and for price l paid with no breakfast l was extremely disappointed. Plus a mix up at desk my daughter had to pay as couldnt see that it was already paid for then as result money now waiting to go back to my daughters account so l wasn't amused

Great location, comfortable room, friendly staff

The hotel location was great. it was 1 minute from train station. My air conditioner was not working but the staff immediately changed my room and they were very friendly. WiFi was really fast and didn't have any connection problems. room was big and comfortable. I liked that they had coffee and tea in the room.

breakfast could be better. I expected more options for the breakfast. they are mainly serving from the menu. bathroom amenities could be provided. room was a little dusty but generally it was clean.

Don't stay out too late"

The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choices.

I've stayed in this hotel many times before" I only stopped staying here because of the introduction of parking charges 🙃 unfortunately the additional £14.00 per night makes this hotel less attractive than others with free parking. This hotel has lost character since being refurbished and the Resteraunt has suffered the same fete"" the menue was most unusual in that there are only meals containing Chicken ie no red meat or fish to be had ? I guess this is why it was empty 😕 Allso I did not enjoy the interrogation from security when we returned to the hotel after an evening meal at Cayophray restaurant in Eldon square

Great base for a short break

Location great for us a short walk from station and in the heart of Newcastle centre close to the shopping area and centre attractions. Metro stop 2 minutes walk if wanting to explore the wider area. Comfortable quiet room and a great breakfast with friendly service .

Good breakfast spoiled by a disturbed night’s sleep

Most of the staff were amazing. The breakfast service in particular. Fast, efficient, attentive. Thank you to Gina and Faye and the rest of the team. Also the person who checked me in. I didn’t get her name.

There was a fundamental problem with a noise coming from the waste water pipe in the bathroom. Every time somebody (I assume above me) used water, it reverberated as it went down the waste pipe. It was most unusual and disturbed my sleep. I was already in bed when I realised, but it was so bad I nearly asked for a room change in the middle of the night. I reported it in the morning, but was underwhelmed by the response of the person on the desk. They said they’d never had that feed back before, which I really can’t believe.

The room hadn’t been cleaned correctly,shower tray was dirty and full of scratches,tea and coffee was very very minimal,bed sheets had a mark on it and rug still needed hovering

Fabulous hotel

Loved everything about this hotel - perfect location - very trendy decor and all the finishing touches in the room. The bed was so comfy and loved the full length mirror and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The hotel has literally thought of everything.

Good location but no parking, it is falsely advertised. Bring your own pillow.

1) the hotel does not have parking. They advertise as being a hotel with parking, in fact what they mean is; there is a public car park around the back which is very expensive and where you probably won’t get a space anyway depending on when you turn up. 2) the pillows are far too hard, we had to discard them entirely.

Good location nice hotel but felt understaffed or staff not properly trained

Excellent location for shops and station. Nice rooms. Reception staff lovely although a bit understaffed quite a wait to book in and out.

They forgot to service room. I was there 2 nights and no bins were emptied the teas and coffee was not restocked and no extra water or towels provided. When I told them I did get some more milk and tea but no clean cups or teaspoons and the water was not replenished. Given that its an expensive hotel all a bit disorganised. Room servicing all seemed a bit rushed. Bed not properly made up on arrival and bathroom more wiped over than cleaned.

Great location, very central and 5mins from the train station. This hotel has a really nice vibe and smells amazing. Big rooms and very comfy beds. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Didn’t like the …Social Bird Restaurant… only chicken dishes on the menu , the clue was in the name. Menu choices where limited , food not great , not enough variety so sadly I wouldn’t book an evening meal if I returned.

Lovely hotel!

Very nicely decorated accommodation that was extremely well located amongst all the city centre amenities.

Unfortunately, while the property has been refurbished, the bedrooms don’t have carpets—only small rugs by the bed. As a result, we were disturbed during the night by the sound of heels clattering on the hard floors as guests returned to the hotel. A real shame, as otherwise everything would have been 100%.
