Great evening meal and superb breakfast

Great location and fabulous building
Room was ok but did have several cobwebs in the corners of the room. Our room was located near a building entrance door and was quite noisy. We have stayed before and didn’t have this problem when we were located elsewhere.

It’s quirky! The detail to the character is fantastic. The room is very comfortable and so quiet.
Easy access to quayside walks and city.
Didn’t really stay long enough or try all facilities this was very much a flying leisure visit.

The hotel is nothing like any hotel I’ve been. It has this quirky vintage touch and homey feels. Visually pleasing and stunning beautiful is an understatement. Staff were all exceptionally friendly and very professional; from the receptionists to the bartenders, the waiters and other hotel staff. Amazing hospitality!
I was asked to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes as the room I booked for (Thierry Lombard) was still in the process of cleaning which was understandable as the place is a big area to maintain however I called them around 12:50 pm and asked if I can check-in early and will understand if not as I will check in on the agreed time if 3 pm; I checked in at exactly 15:25 - they made up for this by giving me a complimentary drink.
The room, because I paid a hefty amount if money for, that I expected to be spotless was still untidy - I found a fake eyelash on the floor, dusty lamps along to its cables on the bedside of the bed, and the most shocking was cigarette ash on the barrel located on the left end of the room even if it’s a non-smoking room. The room was cleaned whist I was out yet forgotten to perform dusting on the lamps.
On my last day, I decided to have breakfast in their Bistro. I ordered for Eggs Benny (w/ salmon) but served me with ham however quickly exchanged for what I ordered originally. I was left gawking in awe when I saw a piece of metal whilst I was slicing the food. The waiter then approached me to ask what happened and showed him the pointy, bent, staple-like material I found that I luckily did not put in my mouth as it is sharp enough to pierce my palate. I wasn’t able to finish my breakfast anymore as I have lost appetite already. Their act of kindness was to cancel the bill for this meal I had to make up for their mistake.
My not-so-bad stay couldn’t been the best birthday holiday experience I’ve had if only these minor issues were anticipated. Yet again, don’t we all deserve a second chance and be given the benefit of the doubt as nobody’s perfect.

Staff were exceptional and the room was outstanding. Such character about the building being on an old shipping enterprise. Absolutely wonderful
Location for us was perfect if you don't mind a little bit of a walk along the quayside, but might not be for everyone. That's the only smallest thing, but it's not like anyone can move the hotel. Oh, and coffee in the rooms but no tea.

Large and spacious
Shower was huge and open, think it was a room with disabled facilities and I would have preferred a regular shower cubicle.
Also the room was very cold owing to a draughty patio doors.

I have stayed in this hotel, in multiple rooms and all have been exceptional. My last stay was though the best yet; the Taittinger room was amazing. A rolltop bath with a view down the river was its crowning glory.
Also, special mention needed for Katie's customer service, simply exceptionally. Friendly and professional throughout and really helpful. A great asset to the hotel.
Bed sheets are never tucked in properly, making for an uncomfortable sleep.

We stayed 1 night to celebrate the wife’s Birthday in the brilliant Ouseburn bars and cafes. The hotel was very smart. We loved its classy modern vibe and the location was perfect. Really good bar area with quality drinks and service. A real gem of a hotel. Can’t wait to return!

Bedroom size and amenities were amazing. Probably the nicest room I've stayed in. Bed really comfy and the bath was great.
Breakfast wasn't bad but not great in my opinion. Partners eggs Benedict bread was a little stale, my cooked breakfast was average but not very plentiful. For the price think you could get more but that's just my preference.

Breakfast: We ordered the Full English that was cooked to order. Delicious!
Room (Villa Maria); The room was very spacious and the walk shower was easily accessible for those with mobility issues.
Location: We were attending a gig at the Clunny. It was within 6 minutes walking. Really good selection of food and drink nearby.
The bar was quite expensive, although the cocktails were really nice.

It’s quirkiness.
The room wasn’t very clean, what looked like bodily fluids on the chaise longue. Dusty wardrobes. Broken and unusable window blinds on some windows.

Function suite worked really well.
Way over-priced for what you get. For supposed luxury experience you'd expect breakfast, parking, the right number of towels laid out for guests, somewhere to sit in the room, a higher standard of cleanliness, more than one toilet roll, biscuits that weren't just a bag of crumbs, staff more attentive to guests' needs, Was all just a bit lazy and off standard. Constant emails beforehand to upgrade, and you have to pay extra for everything - seems it's all just about the money. I'd rather spend it elsewhere, thanks.
