We had a problem with our 1st room, if i hsd been on my own i would have been stuck inside it as there was no handle to open the door. I spoke to jess and shaun who were on reception in the morning, they didn't just help they went above and gave us another room and upgrade

I like the hotel. The location The staff, but the parking situation is a total joke. Its always a struggle. This time i sat in my car for an hr until someone left carpark. This was 13.30.in the afternoon. You would expect it to be empty

Appalling cuatomer service by one particular receptionist. I was parked outside reception closest to the exit barrier (sharp 90 degree turn to get out). Car next to me was really forward to unable to exit without climbing the kerb and risking damage to the underside of my car. I explained this to the receptionist and her response was "You shouldn't have parked there if you can't get out..!". I then spoke to a manager to see if they could locate the owner to which I got told that whilst they take car registration numbers for guests, their systems don't have the filtering ability to find the owner and the only way was to check every single booking by room...suffice to say they refused to do this. Thankfully I managed to get out without damaging the car or exit barrier but did so with what felt like a 6 point turn. Won't be returning to this hotel and some retraining or a dressing down needs to be given to the member of staff.

Hotel is excellent …… no problem at all …… but parking is absolutely awful ….. limited outside and expensive elsewhere….. BEWARE !!! The bus gate / MONEY Gate towards the Glasshouse and Baltic ….. it’s a Gateshead Council Cash Cow !!!!! So be warned and forearmed !!!!! And avoid going along the quayside to a car park that does not exist ….. only to trap you into a £70 fine !!!!!!

Great stay Stayed as we were running the GNR Very busy over this weekend but the staff was amazing and friendly !! The hotel even put out lots of extras for the runners in reception like bottles of water bananas sis gels and sweets on a help your self basis which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very nice with nice ingredients etc.

After we had checked-out, one of our friends discovered she had left 2 diamond rings at the hotel. We phoned the hotel and the staff quickly found the rings and put our minds at rest. We returned and collected the rings. Very impressed and thankful for the help of staff.

I booked this Leonardo after staying at the Leonardo in Belfast city centre in 2024. Belfast was phenomenally clean and updated, this one feels a bit tired and with that, a little less clean, but generally okay. The bed and bedroom were clean, it was just the carpets and bathroom.

Nice hotel , but its in in an industrial estate. Struggled to find a local shop within walking distance. Selection of drinks in hotel bar not great no coke just pepsi max . Room had an interconnected door to our neighbours, who were VERY LOUD ! Breakfast was good and the beds were beyond comfortable, the bathrooms were adequate, however dated. Parking diobolical ! No spaces at hotel and other parking options meant walking up a steep hill. So parked on baltic car park 30.00 !!

Stayed for 3 nights which we do every year for a celebration. We asked ahead for room 336 a superior triple but when we called on the morning of our planned stay we were told rooms cannot be reserved by number!? Luckily we arrived and we were give 236 on floor two. The views not as good as it’s not that high and you hear traffic going by. We also asked everyday for our room to be cleaned. We put a please clean my room sign on the door handle for staff to see. The room was never cleaned!? How is that possible in a big chain hotel? Staff were lovely too but nothing gets done sadly let down this year

Bed was too soft and lack of a top sheet when it's very warm isn't great. Breakfast choices were poor. No vegetarian sausages. No pastries left. Who has roast potatoes for breakfast?! Not sufficient parking spaces and no non slip mat in the bath. But, we did get a river view as requesed.

Property was within walking distance to Newcastle City Centre, parking was easy and bed was comfortable. Only downside was that our toilet didnt flush properly which we reported when we left. Would stay here again. Breakfast was 7/10

Room was dirty and small for 2 adults and a baby when you need to have pram and cot in the room was unable to move about. Very dusty in the room hasnt been cleaned properly at all. Limescale on shower head, dirt behind tap, tiles dirty, hole in carpet and pillow case. I only notice the pile of dust behind the chair the night before going home and figured out why i had to take my allergy tablets.
