Warm and cosy room, clean and tidy flooring, helpful hotel staff - excellent service. staff stayed late to accommodate my late arrival to provide keys.
Just the door lock was a bit loose - but secure and the shower room would benefit from an extractor fan.

Cleanliness, good heating , all round nice place
Thought charging for parking was a bit cheeky - but I’ll get over it !

Absolute dump. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Tatty, dirty, charged £5 for parking, curtains didn’t block the light out.
Badly in need of a complete refurbishment.

A reasonably quick (25 min) walk from the train station, but there were few road names though so I wasn't sure where I was some of the time. The hotel was clean and comfy with friendly staff. Free tea and coffee but the urn was in the reception area, no kettle in the bedroom. Good price, pretty central. Good ensuite bathroom. Rather basic but very good for the price.
No kettle in the bedroom, an urn with tea/coffee facilities in the reception area. Before arrival, it looked like there were 2 hotels with the same name, looking different and at different addresses. I tried to call, neither number worked. It turned out the hotel is on a corner, on 2 roads, so it has 2 addresses, and 2 different looks. Confusing, and it wasn't good that the phone numbers didn't work.

Location was good
Door handle on bathroom was hanging off , Night Porter chapped out door at 4am , for no valid reason, said next day , next day said someone bumped a taxi and in room 30odd , as we were in 31 he chapped out door at 4am , even though we were home at 01.00 , owner said parking outside the hotel was permit only, so we would pay for parking in hotel , as guest u shouldn’t need to pay , he said sign on
Street said it was permit only , even though they weren’t a sign ,

The locations is close to St James’s Park & the City centre. The en suite shower was fine & bed was okay
No tea / coffee facilities in your bedroom.
The bedroom door wasn’t the easiest to lock with the key. I had to pull the door with one hand & lock with the other but took some figuring out.
There was a car park charge too.

Friendly staff and the beds were comfortable. No issues with drunken/loud/disorderly people. Was a pleasant stay.
Looked a bit run down but there is renovation work going on (flooring, new mattresses, work to outside area). There wasn't any work happening during my stay though so hotel was peaceful.

Low cost booking, basic but acceptable and clean room facilities. Staff were friendly and relaxed. We didnt use the lounge areas downstairs but were clean and looked comfortable.
Shared bathroom could have done with a little TLC but was generally clean.

The hotel had parking however they charged you £10 for this on arrival.
Tiny en-suite room, no kettle or any means of making a drink, no wardrobe no breakfast option. Room price was triple the amount due to Peter Kay concert that night.

Close enough to walk into town, good value for money for what we got, did exactly what we wanted it to do. A nice comfy bed for the night and a decent shower. For what we paid we don't want to nitpick.

Northing stuck out it needs to be better.
I came with a Suport worker we need to be closer for if I had a seizure she can’t get into me I have a brain injury and am cortically visually impaired so having an extra key for my room would have been helpful for i had to leave my room unlocked so as any normal individual I felt very vulnerable and unsafe. By not having two keys if someone had a random heart attack but unable to unlock before having it no one can get to them to get them out. Now personally that is a big issue because you would be at fault of that for not applying a spare key and the key kept jamming so it takes longer to get into the room incase of having an emergency.Having no lift means less income for your establishment even a lift would benefit older people that struggle with the stairs so really a lift would benefit everyone who comes to your establishment be disabled , family with baby or older people . Having to pay £5 for parking is ridiculous when it’s on your grounds I went recently to a Blackpool establishment and they gave us a permit you put on your car to stay on their grounds you take it of your car when you check out of there the establishment that would mean more people more and revenue.
We rang your establishment on the 19th of July to make sure our rooms were next to each other or across from each other however we got told they can’t modify changes over the the phone and send a message through booking.com alas I never received a message back when messages get sent answer them or don’t tell people to write one it just wastes time on our end.

Quick easy check-in, room small but perfectly adequate, openable window, wonderfully quiet night.
Loo cramped under sloping roof. No tea in room. Available in the lobby, but a nuisance having to go 2 floors down.

Good location, cheap night if your in the area
shower was amaze, friendly staff,
Room was uncomfortably hot, £5 parking for an empty carpark? Staff were lovely but seemed very intimidating when there was 3 members of staff stood outside the property gathered around a van, looked outside and had a beautiful view of broken toilets and old furniture, maybe i just expected more from the photos on the website, wouldn’t say disappointed as such but definitely got what you payed for and nothing more.

location is not bad, quiet place but to far away from city centre.
I was staying in ground floor room. It was very noisy from the reception area even at nights for example 3am. The guests behaved sometimes as animals - loud shouting at nights or early morning. there were no furniture except small table with small drawer. No chairs, no a single hanger. The only shelf was about 2 meters above floor. No sound proofing I heard everything from the reception area.
