Well located hotel with the basics you’d need for a short stay, though slightly dated.

Centrally located and convenient, the hotel had the basics, was warm, had a big car park, and a comfortable bed.

Dated and in need of modernisation, the hotel could really benefit from some upgrades. Unfortunately, the elderly gentleman on the night shift was very unwelcoming. After a full day of travel, a three hour flight delay, and arriving at 1:00am, a warm reception would have made all the difference, but instead it felt as though our arrival was an inconvenience to him. His manner came across as quite rude.

Central location. Had the basics. Warm. Convenient. Big car park. Comfortable bed.

Dated and in need of modernising and upgrading. The elderly gentleman who worked the night shift was very miserable and not very welcoming at all. After a full day’s travel, a 3 hour flight delay and arriving at the hotel at 1:00am the least he could have done was made us feel welcome, but he was the complete opposite, if anything we were a massive inconvenience to him. A very rude person.

Lovely Weekend Away

A lovely, yet basic hotel with everything we needed for a weekend in Newcastle. The centre is a 10-15 minute walk away. Staff in reception were really friendly. Breakfast bags are a fab addition.

Perfect location to visit Newcastle and Sunderland with free parking

Good size room and big bathroom. Bed was comfortable so we slept well over our four night stay. The Grab and Go breakfast that comes with the booking rate was very adequate. Free parking was a bonus too. Decor and furnishings are a bit dated/worn, but we found everything to be very clean and tidy. Would stay again.

Disgusting dirty

Nothing it was awful

The room was filthy and thick of dust. I ended up with a spots all over my back and legs from being in the bed. There were groups of people having parties in their rooms until 5.10am so my 8 year old and I didn’t sleep a wink. I phoned reception for help with this and they didn’t assist. I was meant to stay for 2 nights but couldn’t and left after 1 because it was so dire. I’ve put an email complaint in and received no response from the hotel. Definitely avoid this awful hotel

Room was fine and comfortable. Grab & Go breakfast was also fine. Very helpful staff on check-in (Richard?). Thanks to maintenance staff member who managed to stop the fire exit door next to our room from banging!

Bathroom needs touch up of paintwork on ceiling. One serious issue - dust around the extractor fan in bathroom looks like its been there for a long time. Use of a duster (the clue is in the name!) on a stick could remove this instantly!!

Location was great for town centre and St James park but was let down with cleanliness.

Location was the best feature of accommodation.

When arriving tans went into the room. We had to dust as a thick set of dust was on the headboard. Furniture was dated and wonky doors. Blood stain on the pillow showing. In the warm weather room is warm and Dan was caked in dust too.

Hotel service via email was great – the lady was very helpful. On-site, however, the porter was very rude and refused to honor the arrangements that had been agreed upon by the lady from customer service via email. My request for a VAT invoice was ignored. I also sent emails about this both through Booking and directly. Booking also tried to contact the property – no response at all.

Amazing value for money

The room was clean, large, well appointed with blackout curtains. The shower was excellent and the location looking out over a park meant it was quiet. Amazing value for money.

Having the possibility of getting a proper coffee, perhaps in the lobby, would have been great.
