CHEAP DRINKS IN BAR FRIENDLY STAFF

It was very old decoration, it did not smell fresh at all, the grout in the bathroom was discolored the bathroom was out of date the bedroom furniture was old and mismatched. Bed sheets were Grey and washed out.

Great staff and a nice friendly feel in the bar. Bed and pillow were comfortable which was a welcome surprise.

Very tired decor and no mattress or pillow protectors. .i Did see it was on photos but really not difficult to make small changes. The extractor fan was soooooooo noisy and came on with light so was horrendous during night. It needs a good hoover out for dust. No plug in sink and tiled floor in bathroom was freezing so wear socks or slippers

Bought three rounds exactly the same but the price changed three times which was disappointing so probs best to remember what you’re charging next time guys or someone’s pockets need checking the end of the night

Seriously needs a refresh

The staff were helpful and it was easy to find. Not far from metro centre and taxi to utilita arena £11. Free parking. Bedding was clean.

The hotel is very shabby and not in a charming way. I honestly think that the nightly charge was at least 50% higher than it warranted.

The hotel was okay for a couple of quick nights.

Overall, the room was pretty okay.

The hotel was fairly noisy. There was a lot of noise from the hallway when people open and close the doors and traffic outside in the street, The biggest problem I think was the window in the room didn't close completely fully. So there was a cold draft and it did hit zero and it was snowing.

Parking was easily available and accessible

The main issue was the cleanliness. It wasn't clean at all. The whole building keeps vibrating even when a small car passes by the road. Just imagine how I felt when a large vehicle passed by the road. Poor lighting. The shower system was out of order

Cheap place to get your head down for the night.

The hotel was welcoming, and all of the staff were friendly. Nice bar with a pool table downstairs. It was good value for money in my opinion. Would stay here again if I end up in the area.

Unfortunately this property is in urgent need of modernisation. The room looked very worn with repairs needed. Bedding and towels was clean ,however ,room requires a deep clean.

Nestled in a far quiet corner of Gateshead They give room girls names not just numbers which I found very unique Staff attentive and helpful Can get bus to Newcastle which was helpful next to it loads of time availability

Dirty and felt unsafe police arrived to check locals for drugs hardly suitable for a 11 yr old to be present Woke up wirh bites tv didn't work ,bath dirty with hairs not belong to us shower curtain filthy and didn't work no food available although advertised as serving food however I wouldn't have wanted to eat there anyway On arrival they gave me a room with no shower and toilet even though I paid extra did change me room as i explained my child is 11 and not walking across the hall to use a bathroom but the 2nd room was filthy smelt of danp and I would never stay there again !!

Budget hotel, so no frills, but room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower perfectly acceptable, host was pleasant.

The hotel does describe itself as a B&B but the second B, as in breakfast, was not provided, which was a little disappointing.

Just don't get room "Gemma"

A budget cosy clean room... on a busy road, some details could be improved like a black out curtain and a safety hand-grip if you take a shower/bath. Bed comfy enough and plenty of shelves and pillows to choose from. We had a beer in their full-of-character pub. Check out 10.30 is perfect. Parking space can get busy, we're lucky. Rooms have names.

Floor creaking everywhere and banging of beer barrels at 7.30am, inner-walls pipes noises. Other banging noises. Then, noises of a compressor..., then some music... and it's on a busy road.

Great location, less than 10 minute bus ride from the centre. The room was clean. Friendly check-in and helpful in giving us taxi numbers etc.

Nothing to like!

The place is run down and dirty. The beds are stained, and the furniture is broken. The view is out to broken beds, signs, and shopping trollies. Having spoken to a local, I learned that the place is used as a halfway house for ex-offenders. Yes, it's cheap, but it's cheap for a reason. We arrived, about turned, and left again! We didn't even stay the night.
