Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful building. Delicious breakfast and friendly hosts

The building is very ancient giving you very special feeling-I really appreciated the indoor space, the frescos and the terrace - I would like to be there in the summer. The location is really great - close to everything - close to museums - I discovered MAO and Chiharu Shiota -The Soul Trembles - really impressive. Close to the main shopping streets - I even went 2-3 times to the room during my shopping day to leave the bags - so convenient location. And Elena and Emma are really nice and helpful - thanks for everything!
So, I spent a whole week working in Torino and the lack of real reception is not the best - e.g. no possible to order taxi in the morning. Also there was not a real iron. The bed was very convenient but the pillows-not my type. The rooms are on the second floor - not very convenient for heavy luggage but Elena was very kind to help!

It was the worse experience I ever had had.
The owner of the b and b stormed in to our bedroom at 9:50 am without knocking.
She said that the check out time is 10 am even the night before her daughter who checked us in said that we don’t have to rush and can ta our time.
Also there is a mold on the ceiling in one of the bedroom and we couldn’t sleep well ( was difficult to breathe).
Also there is a apartment is not equipped as a bad and breakfast as there no forks ,spoons or knives and plates in the kitchen.so they wanted to charge extra 15 euros per person for the breakfast at the “bad and breakfast “.
It’s absolutely insane.
Stay away from this place.
The owner is not a honest person.
Also she was on the phone for an hour loudly talking since 8:30 am and woke up us up.
The location is very nice.

I liked the location and the breakfast
I didn’t receive an invoice for my stay and have been contacting the property ever since I came back asking for it - with no reply

The building and the designer furniture
The facility. WiFi was almost not working. The selected furniture were beautiful but functionality and practicality was not great. Small details but to have shelves in the wardrobe, tray in the shower booth, towel hangers in the bathroom etc, it’s a shame as it has potential to be a lot nicer place to stay.

Location of Villa Stampatori was perfect, right in the middle of the city center and yet you had the feeling you were outside of the city, very quiet and peaceful. It's an old palazzo so the architecture was amazing. The view from our room was on a small garden so very nice. The room was spacious enough, very tidy and clean (bathroom also perfect in size and looks and "homemade" soap that smelled great). The breakfast was in 1 word, divine ! We had breakfast on the terrace which was lovely. The host Elena served us a very tasteful and typically Italian breakfast with fresh ingredients and prepared with love (you could almost taste that). So thank you very much Elena for your hospitality and kindness. We can only be positive about this location and its host.
We can't think of anything we didn't like (maybe the many locks from front door to room but it's an old building so understandable).

Breakfast offered a large choice including beautiful home made tarts - different on each day. The hostels Elena was charming and very helpful. The property is unique and interesting and has collections of rare and attractive furtniture and artworks from the 1950’s/60’s. It is very central for walking through the city, quiet and had lovely views over a garden.
Only minor inconvenience is that you have to carry luggage up two flights of stairs to second floor. However, this is a beautiful old building and no one would spoil it with a lift! Hosts were very keen to assist.

Loved the history of the Villa, its location, cleanliness and helpfulness of the lady running it.
Unable to open curtains without loosing privacy and lack of mirror in the room(one in the bathroom was okey but you can only see your torso in it.
Also bathroom shower/ bath was very tricky to use. Whilst I understand this is the original feature of the villa, the bath/ shower cabin was very unusual, ie bath was boxed up in the wooden frame+glass which makes it very unsafe if one was to slip.

Helpful Host
Our room had a noisy air conditioning unit outside the terrace door (maybe faulty and will be repaired)
€120 a night seemed expensive, the bedroom was rather small. I think they probably have larger rooms and if that’s important for you, maybe request at booking. To be fair I didn’t ask to change as it was only for a night.

The property seems attractive if it were possible to enter it.
Atrocious treatment by untrustworthy management.

Very unique place to stay- stunning top floor of a unique and historic building right in the centre of Turin. Rooftop terrace which is lovely throughout the day to sit and relax, have breakfast etc. Bedrooms are off the roof terrace through wonderful double doors. It feels like a very special place to stay.
Rooms are simple but tastefully designed. Very clean. Large sized bed. We had one of the double bedrooms in the corner which was out of the way. Bathroom was very clean, spacious with a beautiful big window.
Location is great- fantastic restaurants and bars all around you. Minutes from some of the big squares and historic sights of the city.
Very friendly welcome and explanation of the room and the communal areas you are free to use. They even sell the lovely soaps and diffusers they have in the rooms (which smelt amazing and I regret not buying one!)/
Breakfast looked lovely, but sadly we were there for 1 night and had to leave early the next morning for our plane. They serve it on the beautiful vine covered roof terrace outside. Next time we'd definitely try it.
Check-in time of 1pm is also a god send!
The stairs were fine for us, but it's at the very top of the building (3/4 flights up stone steps), so if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, this might not be one for you.
Bathroom was lovely, but ours had an upper glass window all around it, which meant if you want to use it at night and switch the light on it would illuminate the entire bedroom and there was no way to avoid it.
Bed and pillows were adequate but not the comfiest- pretty firm and I like firm!
Be aware it has a lot of original doors and windows so it's not soundproof. I think if you want something charming and unique it's a wonderful place to stay, but if you're used to a 'normal hotel' it might not be the place for you.

This was our second stay at Via Stampadori. we received a friendly greeting and had help booking a taxi to the station when we departed. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was delightful, served on a wisteria-lined balcony overlooking frescoes in the courtyard. The location in the older part of the city is perfect for shopping, for getting to the market, or for getting into then centre of town.

beautiful old, historic building that is well maintained. There was a sense of tranquility. we had our breakfast on a veranda overlooking the courtyard. climbing roses and other flowering vines surrounded the veranda. The location is close to all the sites and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The breakfasts were amazing.
there wasn’t anything we disliked

excellent location within walking distance of all central sightseeing spots. beautiful historic building. very friendly and helpful hosts. very nice breakfast. lots of interesting designer furniture, crockery and cutlery. lots of charm and character. very clean. modern bathroom.
nothing major but bedroom was a bit cold at night. located in a pedestrian area and it is ten minute walk from closest carpark which is ok but difficult if you have a lot of luggage and especially as suitcases on wheels don’t go well on old cobbled streets. the room itself is up many flights of stairs without elevator of course because it is a historic building. just things that potential customers should be aware of. also did not realize that we had to share a living room area with other guests. again not a big deal, we just were not aware of this.

Spectacular, historic palazzo. Beautiful, huge apartment great for family. Extremely helpful and engaging staff. Perfect, central location. Fabulous breakfast featuring fresh, homemade baked items.

The apartment was really clean, spacious and the location was excellent. Very close to Torino's main square and just a couple of seconds away from lots of shopping. The host arranged for our early taxi, really helpful. Also, the place smells really good, as the owners also own a small shop that sells soup and diffusers.
The room got a bit cold at times, espcially in the bathroom... I assumed it's related to energy issues in the country. Other than that, everything was perfect.
