Turin Stay in December 2025

The hotel was clean, we were quite happy with the room upgrade after a very cumbersome check in.

The check in process was long and errors were made. We were given a bunk bed room when we clearly ordered 2 single beds and a double family room. After returning to the front desk, a second room was given, again inadequate before giving us the upgrade which we were happy to receive after what was a long journey and we were quite tired by this stage. Thanks to Daniella who rectified this for us.

Great city centre location for a comfortable rest

The beds were very comfortable. We had a courtyard view which was quiet. The staff were all excellent

Coffee ran out at breakfast but we did go down very late. Breakfast was very good value for money

Great option for a kick visit in Turin. Walking distance and easy access to major sightseeing.

A nice location, but needs to improve

Great location and old school charm as the name would suggest. A very attractive and well appointed room with the surprise of a sauna - though we didn’t use it

There are a couple of points that need addressed by the staff - The hotel was extremely hot and the staff seemed unable or unaware of how to turn the temperature down - with the only suggestion being to open the windows. The hotel parking is around the back of the hotel and needs some negotiation to find - but the suggestion from the staff to ‘use google maps’ was a bit off in my opinion - it wouldn’t take much to give a simple explanation on how to get to the garage. The eye-roll from the reception manageress when I asked if I could leave my car for an extra hour in the parking while I went for walk wasn’t missed…. The breakfast - for a hotel with charm, the breakfast room was an unloved catastrophe - stuck in the basement it looked like a sad afterthought. The food was poor quality, the hot breakfast options were cold and inedible, the pastry options were stale and the coffee was awful. Diplomatic Hotel, you need to improve

The worst staff I have ever encountered in a hotel

Location

I have never experienced such a tense and unpleasant situation with a hotel reception team, specifically the staff on duty at 14:50 on 22/11/2025. I stayed at the hotel from the night of the 21st to the 22nd. In advance, I had requested in writing to leave my luggage for a few hours on the 23rd (from 15:00 to 19:00), as I was coming from another city and my flight from Turin was scheduled for later that evening. I was clearly informed in writing that this would not be a problem. On the day of check-out (22/11/2025 at around 11:15), I reminded the receptionist of this arrangement, and she also confirmed that it was fine. I left my luggage there for approximately four hours, and when I came back to collect it, the situation completely changed. I informed one of the two receptionists (the older gentleman) that I would be returning the following day to leave my luggage for a few hours even though I was no longer staying at the hotel, and that this had been authorised by two different staff members. He responded that it was impossible and even said he would “tell off” the employee who confirmed it to me in writing. Then, a woman asked me which receptionist had confirmed this during check-out. I described her physically, and she replied—quite rudely—that no such person worked there and that I was lying. A third staff member I referred to, who had been present in the morning, refused to get involved, which was frankly unbelievable. After indicating that I would speak to the reception manager about being called a liar and denied a service I had been granted, they suddenly changed their attitude and told me, very disrespectfully, that I could leave my luggage after all. I have never experienced such unprofessional and humiliating behaviour in a hotel, let alone one with such a reputable image in Turin. The issue was not whether I could or could not store my luggage for a few hours, but the rude, arrogant and disrespectful way I was treated.

Nowhere near the quality I’d expect from a 4 star hotel. I’d call it a very average 3 star.

Poorly maintained. Bathroom shower head damaged. No body wash in the shower.

Small and tired looking. Carpets are ripped at hallways. Breakfast area looked a bit dingy. But … staff were helpful.

Nice, short stay in Torino

The staffs were very friendly and especially helpful when we requested to change the room due to construction noises. The location was great and near our incoming train station.

The room decor was a bit outdated, but the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is in a decent location although the street is quite noisy at night.

There was an awful smell from the plumbing in the toilet, water was also leaking from the bath cubicle to the toilet floor. This was reported but nothing done to fix it permanently till I moved out aside mopping the water. The room was stuffy with no air-conditioner working , and I had to leave the window open for fresh air, unfortunately, the window is facing a major street with accompanying noise from traffic making it difficult to sleep at night. It was a difficult experience and I will not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Hotel Got great locations, 3min walk from Porat Susa stop and go bus to airport. Is 20 min walk to Porta Nuova. Is 10min from close city center and main Streets. You dont need any car to explore Turin

The problem we experienced was dealt with by excellent and sympathetic staff who acted quickly and helpfully.

It had everything we needed for a short stay and travelling by train it was a perfect location.
