The reception staff was not helpful at all. Since I had lost my backpack in Lausanne station, I just asked the black lady to provide me a temporary charger for charging my phone and she said sorry we don’t have it, you can get it from outside. Such indifference towards someone’s critical situation was not humanitarian in my opinion.

Great for Cyclotour riders!

We stayed here for Cyclotour 2025, a great choice. On race day the hotel started breakfast at 4:30 (nice!) and the sauna was also fired up for quick relax after the race. It's about 1km and a bit uphill from the start/finish with some good restaurants close by for either before or after the race. There is also a bar area downstairs (which we didn't try), but I guess it's great for a post-race beer, or two.

On Cyclotour weekend the hotel is full, so be prepared for some difficulties if you want an extra pillow or blanket.

Disdainful manager

The view (lake side)

The manager was insufferable. The lady refused to lend us some bikes but insisted we pay for them even though 1) we booked them in advance, 2) the website of the hotel says "Our hotel has 4 city bikes at your disposal, free of charge, for your rides or trips." (https://www.hotelbellerive.ch/en/services/soft-mobility/), 3) the staff promised to honor the offer the day before and 4) the hotel admitted no one else wanted the bikes. It's OK to make a mistake and cancel an offer, but it's a whole other story to speak ill of subordinates (who did their work perfectly), to lie to customers and waste their time deliberately. The manager's lies, hypocrisy and passive aggressiveness ruined our morning. In the end, the bikes were atrocious to ride, and poorly maintained.

Comfortable Stay

Excellent location near the lake and center. They kindly upgraded me to a double room on the top floor with a city view and 2 terraces. The room was very spacious and cozy! Wonderful staff - Thomas at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The cleaning staff was very kind as well, a lady even helped me turn on the heater since it started to get a bit cold towards the end of my stay. Bonus points for the free city card they provide upon check in, it comes in handy to get around the city. Parking is convenient, located right behind the building for a reasonable price.

One thing to note is that the bathroom doesn’t have an actual door. No big deal if traveling alone, but something to keep in mind if you’re not traveling with people/someone you’re super close to.
