Very nice room, but undisclosed construction and closure of reception made it a downer

The room was clean and very comfortable.

We did not like that we were not informed that reception would be closed and construction was starting the day we arrived. We had to walk over to an adjacent property for check in and therefore did not have onsite services which felt a little lonely and strange.

Very Disappointing Stay

good location, one friendly member of reception, clean room. The restaurant L'Accademia is phenomenal excellent food and drink, its just a shame the hotel is subpar.

I was extremely disappointed with our stay. For a supposedly luxury experience we got snooty service with the exception of one friendly female receptionist who checked us in. First we showed up with our bikes, this hotel is not bike friendly, the main reception building was closed so we had to go to the palace hotel, where people treated us like we were lesser just because we had bike bags and bike clothing. There was no message or warning on booking that we had to check into the other reception until we wrote them after we had been walking around for 30 minutes. Nobody helped us with our bags. We had to just leave our bikes in the open in the garage on the first level, nobody showed us where or offered a secure place. It did not feel secure. This was different than what was communicated to me when I wrote before booking. I do not recommend it is not worth the price, sorry to say. The rooms are not sound proof and you can hear every noise in the other rooms. Ochy is beautiful and the restaurant L'Accademia is phenomenal excellent food and drink.

Style, comfort and panache - even a mini break is a boost to any immune system!

I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as I don’t eat much in the morning. The coffee and tea making facilities in the room were excellent. The location of the hotel is exceptional for swims in the lake and proximity to the boat station for trips to discover the beautiful villages around the lake.

Amazing, slightly soured by the auth block issue.

Incredible location, beautiful grounds and buildings, lovely pool.

When we left they messed up releasing the auth block on our card and caused us financial issues and when I discussed this they insisted there was no error on their end.

Good spot for lake & a short tram ride(which is free) to town

Hotel good. We were not in the main hotel. In a room/apartment in the garden at the back of the hotel. So didn’t really use hotel. We had a balcony and lake view.

An absolutely perfect stay!

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated – this hotel is even more stunning in person than in the photos! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the very start. We were absolutely thrilled with our room. It was beautifully appointed, featuring stylish furniture and every comfort imaginable. The spacious bathroom was another highlight, and everything, everywhere, was immaculately clean. The room featured exceptional soundproofing and blackout curtains for truly restful nights. Breakfast was a delight! The buffet offered a wonderful selection of diverse and fresh ingredients, all served in an elegant setting. And the location? Simply unbeatable! The hotel is situated in a beautiful area directly on the lakeside, offering breathtaking views. Exploring the city was also a breeze, thanks to the convenient public transport nearby (ticket included in the tourist tax). I can't recommend this hotel highly enough – it truly exceeded all my expectations!

High quality service in beautiful grounds and architecture

Fantastic balance between classic design and architecture with modern facilities. The rooms we stayed in had been recently upgraded with modern pastel colors, beautiful wallpaper, and a modern bathroom. The grounds were also excellent, including nearby parking and the reception, plus the pool area. Additionally is the top quality service!

Very minor points would be the gym (equipment fine but in a bit kf a dungeon) and the pool size (could be doubled)

Excellent location, staff at hotel reception was very courteous and helpful. The room was very spacious and beautiful.

The restaurant was overrated and extremely expensive. The waiter we had told my husband he didn’t have Prosecco but offered to make him a Bellini. He served him less than half of a very small flute glass for 15 euros, probably 2 ounces, maybe less. We thought that was excessive . The food was also served in very small portions, looked very pretty but didn’t taste so good. My pasta was too al dente and my husband’s vegetables inedible, so tough. overall the restaurant was too pricey for what they offered.

Amazing location and historic buildings- but a gamble on what building you will stay

The location is perfect by the lake. The property is very clean and very well maintained! There is an underground parking and plenty of parks on the property and around should you be with a dog.

The property has several buildings and we assumed we will stay in the one presented on the main picture but we didn’t. We stayed in a building like a block of flats where long term residents stay as well. So while we expected and looked forward to stay in the amazing old and well restored buildings we stayed in a new one . The room was perfect but the issue is what you get VS what you expect. And there was no mention anywhere of I would have wanted to choose in which building to stay. Is a an accommodation lottery . Secondly they offer parking for 30 chf but they also mention there is a pay per hour parking on the port. You end up paying 25 and walk around . Not sure why they even mention that parking, choose the one they have

The Concierge at the Reception when we arrived was very bad . No smile. No explanation . Quite rude. Nothing to do with the Lady we had the next morning, who was very professional.

Across the road from Lake Geneva 😊

Apparently where Lord Byron wrote 'The Prisoner of Chillon'! Friendly and helpful reception staff; excellent lake view from the third floor; 20% off drinks at the bar in Château d'Ouchy; decent Italian restaurant within the hotel building; large bed sensibly covered by two single duvets; separate bathtub and shower enclosure; mouthwatering breakfast (don't forget to request for the omelette!); interesting artwork in the room and throughout the hotel. Special mention to Laura and Eugenie, our masseuses.

The room got too hot at night - opening the windows and turning the heating off wasn't enough to cool it down. A fan could have been very useful.

The location in Lausanne and Lake Geneva was perfect. It was close to the metro station and going up into the shopping district quick. The hotel provided a metro pass for our stay as well making it easy to get around the community.

Nothing to dislike. It was low season and cold with the majority of lakeside shops closed.
