It is directly in front of the station and metro. Easy to travel. Staff are friendly and helpful

There is a strange smell most likely from the carpets. The bathroom had a strange smell too. The water clogged in the bathtub thus it felt like showering in a mini pool

Hotel in need of renovation. The coat hanger fell off the wall. We were disappointed that the gym had been sold. They gave us a free token for another gym but it was closed. They also got rid of the wellness facilities so we were very disappointed.

The location is very convenient for travel, restaurants, and coffee shops.

The cleaning staff entered to clean without permission, and the guest satisfaction survey was not very private due to room knocking for surveys. However, the front desk service was excellent and very accommodating.

Great staff, great location, great value for money.

The staff at The Continent Hotel Lausanne were exceptional. In particular I would like to mention Denis and Ugur and another gentleman who called me to check my reservation (as it was complicated) on Wednesday before I arrived. The whole team were polite and professional and efficient. The hotel is perfectly located across from the train station and within walking distance from all the hotspots in Lausanne. Would recommend this hotel to others visiting Lausanne.

The aircon unit was a little hard to use but honestly no real trouble.

Very convenient and spacious clean room

I like the location which is in front of train station, it's convenient to travel around by train, bus, metro. The room space is OK and large enough for opening 2 large luggages. It's very clean and have many electric outlet plugs. The reception people are very nice and so kind. She gave us early check-in and free transportation card.

Location is brilliant. Opposite train station, next to metro, cafes and supermarket nearby. Free transport within the city.

Convenient location just across train station. Exceptionally friendly and attentive receptionist “Jorge”. Complimentary infused water in the lobby. Coffee in room.

Air conditioning weak although it was admittedly 88F outside at 8 PM. Once the construction across the road is complete, the room will have an amazing view.

good location by the train station and metro so it was easy to get around town and down to the port area. The room was very nice, very comfortable.

The breakfast was not very good. The baked goods were not fresh or tasty. I didn't like the choice of foods. The area was clean and pleasant.

The hotel's location is superb - right next to the train station. We arrived early, dropped the bags (the room was ready earlier than expected), and could continue to the city. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and professional. Both the check in and check out were very quick.

The rooms (we had two) were certainly clean (beds, towles, bathroom, etc), but both had a very bad smell. Since everything was clean, my best bet is that it's the carpet. The rooms seemed old and the carpet was probably not replaced for some time... This is the main reason we cannot recommend the hotel.

Great location! Great price!!

The hotel was perfectly located directly across from the train station. We were only in town for a day and a half, so the proximity to the train station made it easy to get in and out of town. We did a couple of walking tours which didn't take us too far from the centrally located hotel. We also walked to the port and took a boat across the lake to Evian. Again, great location. The room had a lake view and was exceptionally large. Free gym attached to the hotel!! Great price with great ammenities.
