Little Gem

Extremely friendly staff throughout the entire hotel including the restaurant, starting from the lady at the reception through to the house keeping team. The entire experience over the four days was better than expected and we had a wonderful time. A must visit is also the inhouse restaurant, which serves local and international dishes at a very high standard.

Great hotel for a business trip

The staff were very friendly. Room was cozy with a comfortable bed. Excellent gym.

Cosy hotel very close to the central railway station

The room was very tidy and personnal very polite. I arrived at 11 pm after the night flight and immediatly received the room which was very lucky. Morever, I was upgraded to a lake view and a view was fantastic! The cleaning was great and that is very much appriciated

Only one bottle of wate for two days. However, the tab water was perfectly clean for drinking so, it ws not a real problem. The breakfast was a bit basic. I asked for fried eggs and received the answer that it is provided for extra payment only. For 4* hotel that looks strange to me

Beautiful older building in downtown so close to the train and shopping! Bar and restaurant on premises. Fabulous, helpful and friendly staff!

The only downside were the hills as we had grandma with us…but Lausanne is hills. Thankful for the elevator in the hotel.

No need to look further

Easy checkin/out. Beautiful classic hotel of byegone years. Great location. Lovely room 111, quiet, comfortable, well seized, balcony. We also had a lovely lunch at the in house Restaurant, great service.

Good to be near the station but expensive for what was on offer.

Room was fine apart from lack of beverages which were not replenished. Breakfast was good and evening meals expensive but good quality. Staff attentive

Location very noisy from road traffic as near station and major roadworks and view of lake from the window was interrupted by buildings. Balcony was tiny and cramped with a view of the building next door. Beds were soft and pillows old and pretty flat. The bar where we ate a light supper one evening wasn’t properly staffed, mainly deserted and unused. The light supper - a platter of meat and cheese had little variety and some of the meat (eg the sausage) tough and of poor quality. The bread with it was not fresh and was tough. When asked if we enjoyed our meal, our polite but truthful response was met with silence.

Must be considered for a trip to Lausanne

The property was very clean and had lovely decorations with the classic architecture but yet remaining modern in many different ways mostly subtle. Reception and staff were very nice and accommodating but also helpful and knowledgeable. I was treated to an upgrade, complementary to our street parking and transport within the city for the duration of my stay. Bed pillows bathroom are clean comfy and very well soundproofed and total blackout shades.

The air-conditioning wasn't blowing very cold despite setting it to the highest fan and coldest setting

Nice stay, friendly staff, great location

Nice hotel, very close to the train station. They provided us with a transportation card for each guest for the duration of our stay (all buses, metro, trams, etc included), which was a great surprise

Short, but wonderful stay at Mirabeau

On arrival we got a room upgrade. It was very nice room in navy style with two balconies. Staff were kind and food in restaurant was great, so we enjoyed our stay.

Uncomfortable, sleepless six nights.

We spent sleepless nights at this hotel. The hotel has a policy of turning on the AC only when the temperature reaches 24 degrees Centigrade outside. Because it was warm in April, the room got really hot, stuffy and unventilated at night without AC. It felt quite claustrophobic too. As a solution to the problem, we were asked to open the windows by the hotel. But that made the room very noisy as the hotel is on a busy main road with lots of traffic, even in the night. We couldn’t sleep with or without the windows open. The walls are thin too so noise was also there from neighbouring rooms and the floor on top. I have been to Switzerland 3 times in the last few years and have stayed in multiple hotels across the country. This was the most uncomfortable one. All the others also had a complimentary breakfast buffet. This one didn’t.

Bed was really comfy Location excellent: just few minutes from bus stop to down town Breakfast excellent with wide variety ... love the salmon ! Water w lemon in the reception Transportation card makes my stay easy !

Small room without balcony. I requested to change it whenever possible especially I was staying for 8 days, 2 different staff at reception refused as its not possible & this what I paid for !!! But it turned out that this was the only room without balcony. I really did not like their answer. 8 days stay is long period enough to promote me to a different room with balcony!

Perfect sized room and well appointed. Tons of natural light coming in. Very comfortable bed! Staff very super friendly and very helpful especially the front office. location is 5 min walk from the train station. very easy to move about from here. The terrace was perfect for the evening unwind.
