Great price for nice room with excellent breakfast - highly recommend

Great value - our standard room (no view)was very large and comfortable with updated bathroom that was very nice. The breakfast buffet is very good. Fast, efficient valet service for our car when we needed to take it out. (only used it to drive to Montreux, otherwise, we walked or took transit). The location worked for us (10 minutes to cathedral) but there might be a better location to stay. (not sure...Lausanne is hilly so we walked down to the Olympic Museum (very good) and we took the metro from bottom to top)

Parking was expensive but probably the going rate for Lausanne. Our room faced the courtyard - no big deal. (we didn't pay for room with view of Lake Geneva as we were out most of the time and it was dark at night)

The distance from the train station is further than suggested and all up steep hills.. so beware of that

Perfect location to explore Lausanne

Great location, usually my choice when spending a night in Lausanne. Rooms are spacious in this old fashioned establishment ( in the good sense of the word), you can move around in the room and panoramas are beautiful if you choose a lake view.

Sometimes due to traffic and pedestrians walking around late at night the noise can disturb your sleep- switch on the air conditioning and shut the windows and you’ll be fine. Breakfast is good.

Room was cleaned every day, housekeeping staff was exceptional. Phone in room did not work.

Loved our stay!

Great location close to all of the restaurants and shops and not far from the train station. Beautiful hotel. Everything was very clean. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom as well. Great breakfast in a very nice restaurant within the hotel!

Staff was helpful.

No coffee machine in the room. Asked: they don't have any. Only Nescafe. Towels provided were sufficient for one guest. There were two of us. We had to chase housekeeping for more. Restaurant food was mediocre at best. Porter was good but spoke only Italian.

Loved the generous room size and modern bathrooms, staff was very friendly and helpful. Not sure why other people complained about small petty things in the reviews. Room darkening blinds were awesome and the balconies were really nice.

Great place to stay for a weekend

Huge two room suite with lake view at excellent location. Two bathrooms: bonus when traveling with two teenagers! Parking across the street.

The bath towels were very worn, shower gel, shampoo etc. not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. There was lingering smell of smoke in the corridors.

Great location, nice view of the lake if you pick a lake view room. Cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. Friendly staff, comfortable beds.

Felt more like a 3 star hotel, it's dated, rooms (we stayed in 2 different ones) were not as clean as we would have liked. Wifi was very weak. Breakfast had a very basic selection, few options. Overall good, but not great.

They claim they have AC, they don’t really… Some of the staff were pretty rude, some were amazing. Sadly the rude always stands out. Also it was all supposed to be paid for but they sneak in “secret” charges. Pay attention.

For a relaxed and enjoyable stay in Lausanne.

Very good and cheerful interiors. No carpets in the room. Good sized bathroom and room. Balcony room with lake view at the top floor. Did not try any food at the hotel. Fitness centre is reasonably good with quality and well equipment, but some small equipment like weights, mats, etc. could be added. Well connected by public transport.

For the level of price, the hotel can give some more small amenities like welcome basket, snacks/cookies, coffee machine in the room. There were also some small omissions by the housekeeping, but these were corrected after a phone call.

The Property was dirty They made you carry up and down your own luggage, they said fresh towels where only to be provided every second day and only one per person. There were no toiletries provided. The restaurant was dirty and the food was terrible. The Staff was was rude and didn’t care about anything.

Would have given a perfect rating if only we could have controlled the temperature!

Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit was yummy. Staff was very attentive & helpful. The room & bathroom were both extremely spacious & clean. Hot water with good pressure. Good beds. The only thing that we just couldn't get over was the lack of temperature control for coolness!

We could not control the air conditioning & it was too warm & very uncomfortably stuffy, even with the windows wide open. Extremely disappointing! Didn't have a good night's sleep at all!

Could be much better

I found the suite poorly furnished. It’s clear that the room got renovated but for cheap. Bed was two single beds together. Very uncomfortable for a couple. Heater wasn’t working and the floor was looking dirty because of the stains. One TV was not working and one of the blind was broken.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful views, conveniently located

We stayed in an amazing suite made up of two rooms with a shared foyer. The small balconies opened to beautiful view of Lake Geneva and the French Alps. The room for two was really spacious with a big washroom. The other room for one was also comfortable. The suite was decorated with beautiful furniture and comfortable coaches. We enjoyed the room and view so much that we did not feel time wasted resting in the room every afternoon after sight visits. Room facilities including water kettle, ironing board, automatic balcony shades were all very nice. We also had fun exploring other art pieces in the rest of the hotel. The hotel is located within a short walk to the closest city train station as well as supermarket. Also many restaurants around and shops. Staff at the reception was friendly and helpful

There is much to be improved regarding breakfast. Food quality was okay. But during busy times supplies of food and cups ran out. Only 1 out of 3 times were we able to get real hard boiled eggs (which had to be separately ordered). So in the last morning, we just gave up. There could be more choices in terms of food too.

A wonderful luxury break!

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had already booked out and the kids wanted to go for a swim in the lake. The hotel let us use their towels and we could leave our cars in the parking for the day without additional fee.

Superb

Beautiful, comfortable , clean. Great location, breakfast included and it was very good, lots of choices. The terrace restaurant was fabulous, the food delicious. Alan was great . I went up almost last minute and he was able to rearrange and get me a fabulous table for dinner for 4. He went out of his way to accommodate my party. Our suite was beautiful and I loved the view and the location so close to everything. Beds were comfortable. Had a kettle which I loved and tea and coffee was provided.

I really don't understand European hotels with chintzy pillows. I would have liked a firm pillow but that is about all I can complain about.

in bathroom only shampoo and shower gel are available. pillows are not convenient at all.
