Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable with good food.

Ability of the staff to meet our wishes regarding 2 rooms with a communicating door. Staff is competent but in the evening, there was only one main desk employee knowing procedures.

Food quality was not up to Moewenpick standard. Garage is small and not easy to maneuver, thus a bit expensive compared with alternatives.

Room was fine, there was a nasty smell in the reception area, like sewage. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel as I was swimming in an event and had bought my own food but I had the normal holding deposit. The only additional thing I did order was hot chocolate on three nights and on the third night I was told I needed to pay cash despite there still being more than enough cash on my holding deposit. I was also charged a strange amount on my bill for 20CHF which I could not account for and I was not given the bill to review before the payment was settled. I won't stay here again and it would not be my recommended accomodation to others.

We did not have breakfast. It was far too expensive for eight of us. Location was excellent. Room was disappointing for a four star hotel
