Huge thanks to the lady Chef who prepared our breakfast — my wife is celiac, and this was by far the kindest and most thoughtful welcome we’ve had at any hotel. Actually having food restrictions (gluten, lactose) was a privilege at that hotel. We have been served variety of products directly to our table straight from the back of the kitchen to avoid contamination. All of the processes have worked perfectly because they had knowledge at the time we have arrived to the breakfast venue. Also we have enjoyed traditional Swiss Cheese fondue with gluten-free bread at the top Skybar. GREAT SELECTION FOR CELIACS and GLUTEN-ALLERGIES.

The door on the shower didn’t close properly so the bathroom floor got flooded every time we showered. But this is a very very minor issue ! The restaurants were gorgeous but very expensive !

Too much money for a 4 star room...

It is a nice hotel with a historic building. That is all.

Inside the room, you can not find the "must" items like a hygiene bag or a shaving kit, a toothbrush, etc. How can a 5-star hotel with extreme prices not fill the bathroom and also the minibar with regular items?

Expected more for this price range

The location was great, the partial lake view was not bad either and the overall impression was good. The water, tea and coffee in the room as well as the tea in the Spa area didn't cost extra at least.

Especially for this price, the pool area needs maintenance: the shower heads need to be changed and some of the equipment were not working. The Spa area is nice but everything seems to cost extra e.g. No access to the Relaxation Room or to another Spa Area, expensive breakfast, expensive cocktails, expensive Golf Club, closed Rooftop, zero entertainment such as a Piano performance or similar. Overall friendly but a little uneasy atmosphere.

Service is excellent as always. Facilities never feel crowded, it's a perfect spot to relax on a long weekend. Breakfast was also great.

Was a little surprised that parking isn't free. Also, me and my parents both felt like the beds weren't exactly comfortable. There was a screen at the bathroom which we couldn't figure out how to turn on...maybe a user's manual would be useful.

One of the best SPAs I have ever been. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The hotel is very well located, right in front of the metro and easy walking distance to many places in the city. Amazing view from the rooftop lounge.

Staff could be a bit more friendlier, specially in the bar next to the lobby (we had a very rude waiter serving us). The rooms could be decorated in a more modern way. Menu in the rooftop lounge should be more extensive (few options available).

Value for money luxury (with some room to improve)

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood between city and lake. Elegant common areas, friendly staff (especially Racine), and delicious dinner and breakfast.

No reminder sent to book a restaurant table in advance (they seemed to have very limited capacity), spa was nice but many functions (like bubbles and sprays) did not seem to be working. Service at breakfast and at the bar was very friendly but not always super efficient.

Beautiful jptel with great SPA, nicely located in Lausanne.

Room was nice and spacious with a nice design. SPA area of the hotel is very nice and there was always place for everyone and everyone could find some privacy (we were there in summer). Perfect place to relax and enjoy the day. The hotel itself is very beautiful inside. Location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the metro station and walking distance to the lake. We would definitely be happy to be back.

There is a sky bar at the hotel with a very beautiful view, but we could not enjoy it as we only had time on Saturday evening and on this day it was booked for the private event and this was not mentioned to us upon check in (on Friday). Just if we want to be picky - walls in our bathroom were not very clean, but you dont expect this from the hotel of this level.

Exceptional

This is truly an exceptional hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The room with lake view was amazing. The rooftop bar was incredible . Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating.

We are repeat guests and really do love this hotel - beautiful building, lovely rooms with balconies, great spa, nice location walking distance from the lake.

Unfortunately the service was a little disappointing this time around - staff not very attentive and getting orders wrong (more than once).
