Maison Philippe Le Bon Hôtel, Restaurant & Bar le 19

This hotel is well-located just on the edge/within the old town of Dijon, a few moments’ walk from the beautiful heart of this charming city. It makes a good and convenient base for a visit, and probably easier, if travelling by car, than something right in the centre where driving and parking are no doubt difficult. The rooms are elegant and comfortable and have everything you need. The restaurant is delicious - really good quality food and a nice selection of wines. The hotel staff are delightful, kind, helpful. Special mention of Brice! Some of the best service we had on this three-week trip.

This isn’t a ‘don’t like’, but just advice to car travellers. Parking needs to be reserved in advance because it is limited, accessed through narrow historic archways. If you have a wide car, be aware that the street is narrow with parking down one side, so you likely won’t be able to enter the archway straight-on; and some scrapes let us see that some did not make it without misfortune! We were okay in a Kia but it did take some back-and-forth reversing to get in at the right angle. If you have a big US-style SUV or something, you might be better off in the car park/parking lot exactly opposite, but we didn’t use it so can’t recommend one way or other.

Secure parking and an extremely comfortable bed. Staff were very amicable and the location is only a 10-minute walk from the very centre.

Es war nicht möglich, das Auto am Abreisetag noch bis 14 Uhr auf dem bezahlten Parkplatz zu lassen und im Zimmer war zwar ein Wasserkocher aber keine Teebeutel.
