We stayed at Gordone Palace for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The area around the hotel is very quiet and relaxing, yet it takes just a couple of minutes to get to the lake where there are restaurants and bars. We got a very big room with a big bathe room and a view towards the lake, which was absolutely stunning. The staff is also very friendly. Would definitely come back!

Well located, beautiful facade and terrace area.

When first entering the room, that rubbish bin in the bathroom area was full! That put me off from the get go. Room ceiling and wall are very thin, you can hear every step…all night. However i understand it is old property trying to keep its charm.

It was excellent.

Location was perfect for what we needed. Very close to the water taxi and the staff were very helpful from start to finish.

We ran out of shower gel and it wasn’t replaced but we had our own so it wasn’t a big deal. Floors could have been slightly clean but with the climate dust and a little dirt will always travel.

breakfast was o.k crossiants/several types of cereal toast boiled eggs ect airconditioning was excellent and quiet. view from room good very quiet in hotel and small bar with excellent wines and perfect gin and tonics made by night staff. the beds and toppers make a really good nights sleep,also jacuzzi showers with plenty of power

Flying visit - perfect solution

This was a flying visit for a concert, but the location was perfect, the room was great, there was off-road parking and breakfast was perfect! Inclined to go back for a proper stay!

As a summary Mefuta is a good hotel, I would go back there in the future

At one of the most beautiful part of the Lago di Garda, a very charming, ggod hotel. The bigger part of the staff is very helpful, but there are some arrogant ones too.

Some (mainly one) member of the staff is very arrogant and unhelpful. The breakfast was good, but very poor, and moodless

The room and lobby were very pretty and clean. Breakfast was amazing.

We did not get ANY information when checking in (breakfast, wellness facilities, not even the way to the rooms). You have to figure everything out yourself. We booked last-minute and were never told that you have to reserve the wellness 2 days ahead so we weren’t able to use it, even though that was the only reason we booked the hotel. Very disappointed by the lack of communication.

Fantastic breakfast, close to beautiful promenade, center. The large garden with the ship we visited was amazing. Wish we had had another day for the botanical garden.

4 star price - 1 star quality

It’s location and the reception area

‘Manager’ and subsequently his subordinates unprofessional and unhelpful, unable to handle a crisis to the point of avoiding a discussion when needed. This is obviously not isolated to our issue as several guests were frantically looking to speak to the manager who evaded any conversation, making excuses that the hotel had a hard time….he left front line junior staff to deal with problems they were neither entitled nor equipped to deal with. The worse holiday experience I have lived through. Despite, encouraged by booking.com staff, to arrange alternate booking dates due to a governmental imposed quarantine, we received no courtesy whatsoever in regard of a costly 2 week booking. We paid for 2 rooms for 12 days and stayed 4 with no proposal of a credit, a voucher or a room upgrade. The hotel is at best a 3 star and the service would struggle with 2 stars. I will not recommend anyone to book this hotel, we understand that the hotel is already appointed to an administrator, so the few positive elements will not help to see this hotel out of the trouble they are in! The manager has if anything worsened it’s case. It could have been a nice stay, considering the excellent Location on the lake, Gardone a beautiful old style resort with a classy charme and excellent restaurants. The hotel offers no restaurant, the breakfast is quite varied for Italian standards, however not sure if Covid regulations are applied to the rule. Bedrooms medium 3 star standard , no electrical plugs, no safety deposit box no wardrobe, two hooks on the wall, hardly a 4 star bedroom, clean yes, but nothing about it 4 star, except possibly for lake view rooms of which there are few. Bathrooms are a 2 star standard, small, shower only, no space to hang up towels, swimwear or place ones personal effects, a bit strange in a hotel that lives of lake and beach tourists.
