Breakfast was sensational .The evening bistro however had limited choice and seemed just frozen easily assembled offerings .I think for ease in the kitchen as evening meals are not provided as such .Stone baked pizzas etc may have been a better option for staff and guests .So many wonderful restaurants nearby for an evening meal it did not bother us too much. We were happy with the Bed and breakfast set up .
Every thing was perfect .Although the bar shut at 8 am for 2 days due to staff illness .So the area was lacking in atmosphere on those days. Otherwise the. Cocktails were to die for .

The hotel’s got a stunning spot right by the lake, and let me tell you, the views are absolutely gorgeous—perfect for just soaking in some calm. The pool was a real treat, always nice and warm, so it was great for a relaxing dip. The grounds are super green and lush, with beautiful gardens and tons of plants that make everything feel so peaceful and pretty. Honestly, the scenery was a big plus and made the place feel like a proper getaway.
Sadly, the good stuff was totally overshadowed by a bunch of issues. We stayed in a ground-floor room with a door to the garden, but it was crawling with ants—literally everywhere. They got into our bags, suitcases, sheets, all over the bedroom floor, and even in the bathroom. It was gross and made the room feel unclean. The garden itself, while nice to look at, was covered in duck poop, so we had to wear flip-flops every time we stepped out. Breakfast was a letdown; the spread was tiny and the food wasn’t great. The whole place felt old—carpets were worn out, walls looked dirty, and the decor was stuck in the past. Noise was a problem too; the walls were so thin we could hear every word from the rooms next door, which made sleeping tough. The bed was another issue—two small beds pushed together, super hard and uncomfortable. We asked for a mattress topper to make it softer, but they didn’t bother to help. At €324 a night, it felt like a rip-off for what we got. When we tried talking to the front desk about a discount for all these problems, the woman there was rude and shut us down, saying no way to any refunds. It was really frustrating.
