The hotel was exceptional .We will return .The view,staff and rooms were amazing.

Breakfast was sensational .The evening bistro however had limited choice and seemed just frozen easily assembled offerings .I think for ease in the kitchen as evening meals are not provided as such .Stone baked pizzas etc may have been a better option for staff and guests .So many wonderful restaurants nearby for an evening meal it did not bother us too much. We were happy with the Bed and breakfast set up .

Every thing was perfect .Although the bar shut at 8 am for 2 days due to staff illness .So the area was lacking in atmosphere on those days. Otherwise the. Cocktails were to die for .

Such a memorable week in Villa Capri, particularly lying round the pool !

lovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the lake. Pool and gardens are fab, so is eating over the boat-house very romantic. Friendly helpful staff and some great restaurants within 10/15 mins walk.

It is a shame that the bar and restaurant is underutalised in the evening. We went down some evenings to have a drink and there was not a sole there which is a shame as we ended up eating out every night.

Lake bliss

Secluded location was very much appreciated by us, although it is at least 15-20 minutes walk from closest shops and restaurants. Two restaurants that are near are gastronomic and open only 2-3 days a week. While the hotel doesn't provide full dinner redtaurant service there is room service and limited food availability till 20:00, that can be a solution. Breakfasts are quite good, as well as lunches. We enjoyed private access to the lake, large number of sunbeds and large parking. Rooms are a bit worn, but tidy and reasonably large. Many small details are arranged very well. The pool was clean and warm, although we stayed in a very warm weather. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Nothing major. Some more veggies for breakfast would be nice to have, although generally breakfast choice is good.

Amazing breakfast, fab view. We had a bumpy start of check in but ended well. So we still want to recommend this hotel.

I wish their Staff can be more understanding and flexible with check out time with overseas guests especially we are from Asia, 9+ hours time difference. We would appreciate more if they allow 12am check out time, 1130am check out time was kind of very tough for us.

Absolutely wonderful hotel with perfect views and great food on Lake Garda

My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised on every level. This hotel is FABULOUS!!! Getting there was too easy. Private parking on site. The hotel is an amazing location with lots of chairs along the lake so that you can sit wherever you’d like. You can literally step into the lake or swim in their gorgeous (and super clean) lake front pool. The staff was super courteous. We laughed when they would walk by singing and whistling. It might seem like a small thing, but people notice this stuff. Everyone was just super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The cleaning service was wonderful, too. Those maids really clean your room and make it up nicely. Also - I would be remiss if we didn’t mention the food here! The breakfast is absolutely incredible and the lunch/dinner options at the hotel are also fantastic. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and fries, thinking it would be the quality of some average restaurant. However, I was shocked at how delicious and consistent the quality of the food was. The sandwich was absolutely great and even the French fries were wonderful!! My husband and I loved trying some of the Michelin rated restaurants on Lake Garda, but were so grateful to come back to the Villa Capri because it had delicious food with generous portions that didn’t break our wallet. Moreover, the waiters always had a smile on their face and were pleasant to us. I also want to give a shout out to the grounds crew. The gardens and grass always looked perfect. Just an all around perfect stay. Thank you so much to the entire staff at the Hotel Villa Capri…keep up the great work!!

Disappointing stay due to poor maintenance and high cost, despite scenic views.

The hotel’s got a stunning spot right by the lake, and let me tell you, the views are absolutely gorgeous—perfect for just soaking in some calm. The pool was a real treat, always nice and warm, so it was great for a relaxing dip. The grounds are super green and lush, with beautiful gardens and tons of plants that make everything feel so peaceful and pretty. Honestly, the scenery was a big plus and made the place feel like a proper getaway.

Sadly, the good stuff was totally overshadowed by a bunch of issues. We stayed in a ground-floor room with a door to the garden, but it was crawling with ants—literally everywhere. They got into our bags, suitcases, sheets, all over the bedroom floor, and even in the bathroom. It was gross and made the room feel unclean. The garden itself, while nice to look at, was covered in duck poop, so we had to wear flip-flops every time we stepped out. Breakfast was a letdown; the spread was tiny and the food wasn’t great. The whole place felt old—carpets were worn out, walls looked dirty, and the decor was stuck in the past. Noise was a problem too; the walls were so thin we could hear every word from the rooms next door, which made sleeping tough. The bed was another issue—two small beds pushed together, super hard and uncomfortable. We asked for a mattress topper to make it softer, but they didn’t bother to help. At €324 a night, it felt like a rip-off for what we got. When we tried talking to the front desk about a discount for all these problems, the woman there was rude and shut us down, saying no way to any refunds. It was really frustrating.

A taste of luxury

Beautiful lakeside location, offering a swimming pool and access to the lake. Sumptuous breakfast, served outside if wished. Very friendly and helpful staff. Though there isn't a restaurant service in the evening, you can order substantial 'snacks' from the bar until 7.30.

The hotel could do with brushing up on its environmental credentials: towels and pillow cases were changed daily and bedding every other day - very luxurious, but not good for the planet!

Everything. The staff, the food, the facilities, the garden, the pool were all amazing. The views, especially from our balcony and the balcony by the lake, were mesmerising. Holiday of a lifetime!

I found the black mold in my bathroom, room 203, there was the same mold availble on curtains. Due to fully booked hotel any room changes were not available. It was not possible to lock the door from inside due to the rusty locks, it was quite hard to open the door with the key due to the rust inside the lock. You can expect much higher level from the hotel you need to spend around 300 EUR per room per night.
