La Cascata Negli Ulivi

It’s very quiet, away up the hills away from the hustle and bustle of the lakeside; it’s very clean, and well-decorated; the breakfast area has a wonderful view over the Lake. You can walk easily into Bogliano where there are good restaurants, and the bus system is regular if you are travelling without a car with just a short journey into the larger Gargnano (with more regular ferry services) and 25 minutes into Salo. Giovanni was friendly and helpful when asked.

Be aware that there is no air con in the rooms, only a desk fan - the nights were very warm when we stayed. There is an advertised minibar, but it’s more a list of things that Giovanni can go and buy at the shop - it’s not a minibar in the traditional sense. There is otherwise no ability to access a drink or a snack on site. There is a room with an iron and board that can only be used by Giovanni’s assistant - no irons are allowed in the room, and guests can’t use the iron themselves.

The Bed and Breakfast is nestled among olive trees and is situated slightly above Lake Garda. From the Breakfast Area you can see Lake Garda every Morning, which is a real highlight. Giovanni is a wonderful, warm, attentive host and also a true connoisseur of the finer things in life. We felt very comfortable and at home, even though it was very hot. Overall, this was a special holiday for us, and we hope, we will be able to return one day. There is just one thing, we would like to mention. It would be lovely, if the terrace seating area had a little more shade in the afternoon. Apart from that, we will always look back fondly on this beautiful place and on our wonderful encounter with Giovanni.

I've spent several days there in July, with my friend. The location is wonderful, a little remote and we particularly enjoyed visiting a new beach everyday around the Garda Lake, then being able to return to our accommodation in this perfect, very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very nice too. The host Giovanni is very open and friendly, speaks several languages, and very important, he prepares the best cappuccino! :)
