Overall for the money we paid it was comfortable and good value.

Location was very good for where we was going out that evening, we didn't opt for breakfast so I can't answer that one but there was a lovely kitchen area and social room , The rooms were very nice and clean,all our rooms came with bathrooms and the security was impressive the unique pin to access the rooms and front door. Also the off-road parking was a bonus.

We stayed in room 2 there was a net curtain but no proper curtains it wasn't a problem to us but might be for others .

Never again

Nothing this time we have stayed 5 times last year but will not be staying again . No idea it had changed hands and also that we could no longer park at the property even there was a car park signed posted . We were given no option of parking

I feel very let down with our final stay at this property and the reply when I sent a message it seems they did not care

Fire alarm went off for 30 minutes. No on site staff to deal with it Poor communication on phone. Kitchenette neither here nor there as really only a microwave.

This is our second stay at the Tennyson but this time we booked the studio en-suite (before it was a double room),the room was large and spacious with a separate kitchen area and the bathroom and toilet was in a separate area. The facilities included were adequate for 2 people including tea and coffee ingredients This room also comes with a parking space which is handy.

I will be perfectly honest and say that the room was like the double room furnished with very basic equipment but it serves it purpose. The room does have a musky smell about it but not overwhelming and on a negative side there wasn’t a tea towel to use in the kitchen area and we were left with insufficient toilet paper but luckily we had a roll in our car. The main problem we found was after searching all the main building for our room we had to ring the number they supplied to find our room was separate around the back so maybe clearer instructions would be helpful

A nice and clean but basic accommodation with the added bonus of designated parking and good value for your money

The property was in a prime location for us as it was a 5 minute walk to our destination The room was basic but clean and comfortable and very good value for the price we paid This property has a good dining area for everyone’s use if you bring food into it for personal consumption

I was surprised by the instructions ie the entrance door as on my booking email it’s not clear you have to use the door handle and not the small numbered key boxes on the wall and the guest information in the rooms need updated as the example of the wi fi information was different to again the email booking info

Concerns regarding safety and other visitors not following agreed conditions

I liked the location and in terms of getting in and out of the property was rather easy

I didn't like the light in the bathroom in with the support for the light on the ceiling was handing out the roof on a wire very concerned but lucky was just an overnight stay. On information regarding quiet hours after 10pm in which I was doing my up most to follow this yet seemed other visitors didn't listen to that and was unable get to sleep till 3 in the morning luckily I wasn't heading home till late afternoon so was able to get some extra rest at friend's I came to Lincoln to visit

Quality stay at the Tennyson Lincoln.

Location was spot on for what I needed, on-site parking was a real plus! Electronic door locks on the room, first time I've ever used them and it was a breeze! The room I had was really big and spacious, with a fridge, brew making facilities and a TV. I didn't use the brew facilities or the TV, but it was nice to have anyway. The shower was really good and the bathroom was clean (as well as the room), would definitely recommend anyone to stay there.

It didn't affect me but some other guests had issues with the door key to the main door, their key safe was broken and they couldn't gain access, like I said didn't affect me directly but may be something to consider changing.

Happy enough

Great value. Clean and in a decent location.

Would have been nice to be able to use the car park before check-in. We understand the reasoning behind it, but we walked by the place having parked elsewhere (we actually left the car there overnight because we were out drinking) and the car park was empty barring one car, as it was at 5pm when we finally picked up the keys.. Small gripe, but we would still stay again.

I liked the coziness of the property, easy access and pretty tidy. I appreciated the Christmas decor as it lit up the place a tad. Room was okay, although it wasn’t the most pleasant on the comfortable scale, specifically the bed.

It stunk of weed and cigs, neighbouring room stayers were perverse and very rude, that’s not something Tennyson owner (s) can control but due to bad behaviour from other people, it’s drifted my attention to other places.

OK but would look elsewhere next time

Comfortable bed. Fridge in room Nice kitchen and seating area.

No hot water from showers in either room both nights so resorted to "sink washes" Calling the breakfast "continental" had us laughing at the 2 slices of bread, one piece of cheese, small tin of beans, small box of cornflakes and a yoghurt. To me continental has fruit, pastries, cold meats etc

Nice Property

The room was comfortable and very clean as was the kitchen and seating area. Parking was very handy.

The bathroom door was awkward and very stiff. Also would have preferred a curtain on the window rather than the decorative net curtain.

Pleasant and clean, short and sweet stay.

We ended getting cooked breakfast but was plenty to eat . Room could do with noise blocking out because of busy roads, and few repairs needed the door to toilet was hanging off , and the tv remote we tried to turn volume down but it was set at certain volume.

It was just convenient for where I was working.

Not hot water for shower, WiFi not working. Grubby and tired decor. Drawers hanging off, stains on the one chair in the room. Whatsapp contact is just a bot that repeats lines from the booking.com listing. Awards and certificates seem to be from 2016 and a different age.

Not very impressed with the stay

Didn’t really like anything sadly

Review I recently stayed at this B&B and was quite disappointed with the overall standard. The bathroom seals were brown and mouldy, and the toilet brush was visibly dirty, which didn’t give a good impression of cleanliness. The paintwork in the room was poor and looked unfinished, and the blinds were covered in dust. The breakfast provided was simply a few slices of bread left in a bag, which felt very basic and not what I expected. The duvet was also quite small for the bed, leaving me cold during the night. Light came through the blinds meaning I couldn’t sleep in!! Unfortunately, the combination of these issues made the stay far below the standard I had hoped for. I would not choose to stay here again unless improvements are made

Worst stay at a hotel ever

First breakfast was very poor . I had two men let them selfs into my room while I was sleeping at 7am . After telling them to get out they stood outside chatting loudly answering phone calls . Complete disregard for the customer .

People entering my room at 7am when checkout is 10am . I was awoken by two gentleman noisily letting them self’s into my room . Then standing outside slchatting answering phone calls . Talking very loudly

Attention to detail missing . Despite innumerating breakfast down to a tea bag there was no cereal or a second cup to make tea, nor spoons to eat the yoghurt. Parking was too crowded .

Very clean accommodation. Breakfast continental was nice and bed comfy.

Very noisy by main road, I didn't realise they provide earplugs, but sirenat night, Lorries,and cars. I couldn't park my car as no spaces. Had too park it up street around corner by a river.

As my room fronted a very busy road, it was quite noisy. The fittings (in room 4) were in a bad state - damaged drawers in the chest of drawers, and a loose door to the en suite, for example.

The room was clean.

Parking here is difficult if you leave it late in the day to get a spot. The photo on booking.com is deceptive and not as big as it looks. It's on a very busy road so if you're sensitive to noise like me you won't get any sleep. Whilst they come in to re-stock the fridge they won't make the bed, wash your dirty cups or even empty the bin. No hot water to bathroom sink. Lighting is very poor in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror tilts so you have to crouch to see what you're doing.

Very poor cereal was coco pops yuk and someone came into room whilst out to put items in fridge

The bed s have seen better days was broke 3 years ago and been repaired ans mattresses are £99 jobs was sleeping on the slats of bed go to dreams and buy the maidstone pocket spring mattress less than 300 pound but will last and are turnable not like the old fashioned coil sprung mattress with springs poking out everywhere bed is the main thing when staying away
