Wonderful place to stay. Would come back!!!

Lovely room, accommodating staff. We needed to leave early in the morning, and they provided a breakfast in the room which was delicious and varied. Close to the cathedral, walkable to the riverfront area.

Caring hosts of a good boutique BB in a great location to explore the cultural centre of Lincoln.

Loved the location. Enjoyed the challenge of the drive and the passageway to explore the prime location of the cultural city. Liked the decor and towels and toiletries. Staff really cared and went the extra mile to provide for additional needs.

Had hoped for a larger bed and bedroom and a bath. Had not realised there would not be one.

Wonderful find and supurb location

Very good customer service and communication. Mattress somewhat domey and pillows could be much more comfortable but the room was wonderful with a lovely bathroom and service facilities. Great staff

Lovely B and B

A very warm welcome and helpful advice throughout our short stay. We stayed in the small twin which was great for one night. The breakfast was exceptional, making the stay excellent value. Close proximity to cathedral and surrounding cultural quarter. Would definitely return.

The breakfast...the room gorgeous but up the top of three flights of stairs!!

The parking was awful, the driveway narrow and steep plus cars had to double park. A parking permit card was given to us to park on the street but that was over a kilometre away before we could find any park!!

Memorable breakfast.

The breakfast was good and exceeded our expectations , based on the menu choice card which had to be filled in the previous day.

The heating was very poor. Had to phone and ask for it to be switched on at 6. 30pm. Was informed that it would take an hour to heat up. Two hours later there was a trickle of warmth coming through - but that was all. The radiators were fully open. No heating on at all in the bathroom. It did come on automatically the next morning for a short period, but definitely not hot. We found it difficult to find the property and needed to ‘phone for directions. Very steep drive up to the property. The cobblestones and the walk to and from the property into Lincoln were better suited to younger people .

Lovely stay

Central location with parking. Lovely continental breakfast. Staff were great - very helpful and accommodating. Fabulous shower.

Most of the hotel was heated using a heat pump, which meant we had very little control over heating and some people would have found breakfast room and even bedroom a bit on the cool side. On arrival at the hotel I was disappointed to find out that even though I'd booked bed AND breakfast, we would have to pay an extra £9.50 per person per night for a full English breakfast.

Location was perfect for our visit to Lincoln and sightseeing. The Poplars was very clean and cosy everyone there was friendly and welcoming. Good choice for breakfast and tasty

The hotel was excellent, the bed perfect, facilities spot on. The location a little iffy due to the fact my wife is due for a new knee, so struggled with hill a bit,... not your fault. ....

A little miffed, we paid £40 more booking on line than we would have booking directly ( I know, but I would'nt have found it if I had'nt gone on line )And it would have been nice for the full English to be included too.

Very minor - Lots of number codes required for doors and garden gates. Easy to turn the knob the wrong way and have to start again. 🤣

Lovely Guest house, friendly, helpful staff

Great central location and shout out to the young lady that greeted me on arrival who, on finding out that I was going to be leaving too early for breakfast the following morning, took time out to make up some pastries and meats to bring to my room.
