This two bedroom house is able to sleep up to four people and is located close to the village of Helmsley.
This traditional, stone-built, cottage is a semi-detached property that adjoins the owner's house on a working livestock farm near Old Byland. Just seven miles from the market town of Helmsley, this cottage is set in a peaceful location within the National Park, and offers far reaching views across the North York Moors. With its open plan living area, the property is composed of two bedrooms - one double and one twin - a fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge with electric fire. The structure itself retains a great deal of charm and period features include ancient low ceiling beams and pine doors. In addition to the indoor space there is a large, lawned garden outside, as well as off-road parking. This property accepts short breaks from a Friday-Monday, Monday-Friday period only and any week long bookings must begin and end on a Friday.

Surrounded by houses, hotels and shops, the town centre is a lively shopping district. The area is historically important too, and boasts a 12th Century castle in addition to English Heritage's Rievaulx Abbey. With excellent walking throughout the region, the Cleveland Way is a perfect opportunity to explore the North York Moors. The Cathedral city of York is less than an hour's drive south, whilst Scarborough and the east coast are just over an hour away. Pickering and the beginning of the famous steam railway line - the North Yorkshire Moors Railway – is within 30 minutes drive.
