The location was great - within walking distance of Saltaire and the Leeds - Liverpool canal, and surrounded by greenery. Decent bus links to Bradford from the main road too. Irene made me feel welcome and encouraged me to make full use of her kitchen, living room and bathroom.

No complaints, I enjoyed my stay. It wasn't clear from the advert on booking.com that both bedrooms are the same - one is a loft room and one is on the first floor. There is a friendly dog at the property.

Quiet location with walks from the door. Very convenient for the venue I was attending.

Would be useful to have a mirror in the room. I wasn’t anticipating quite so many stairs.

Irene was an exceptionally kind host and my room, and the house were very comfortable and clean, offering great value for money. It was an added bonus to have access to a shared lounge and a shared, very welll equipped kitchen where coffee\ and tea were provided. There was a full sized oven and everything you could need to go ahead and cook a three course meal if you wished.(which I didn’t). The property is perfectly situated to allow access almost immediately to an attractive riverside walk where I saw ducks geese and a heron. Across from the house is the canal and again, great walks. It’s only a ten minute wa;ok away from Sataire, a world heritage site, along the canal. Just across the canal is Hirst Lock where it is interesting to see canal boats going through. There is also a large car park which allows people to access both lock and Hirst Wood easily. Just above there is a small nature reserve/garden and a conveniently placed cafe offering drinks, meals and cakes. All in all I had a wonderful and relaxing, yet interesting time. ThankYou Irene.

There was really nothing I didn’t like. I’m not used to sharing a bathroom but in the end didn’t prove to be problem at all
