Close to the motorway exit, convenient for an overnight stop. Clear instructions from the host on how to get inside and parking. Room was a generous size and had all the usual facilities.

Rooms are a little tired and in need of some remedial repairs to the decor. Bathroom is relatively clean but again in need of some remedial repairs, particularly to what appears to be old water damage to the ceiling and window area. My main issue was the amount of candles and air fresheners in the room. Despite contacting the owner prior to my arrival on the booking .com site and through WhatsApp to request they be removed due to my allergy to perfumes and fragrance, I received no response. On arrival there were approximately 6 fragrance candles in the room which I relocated to the hallway. Unfortunately the strong aroma of vanilla remained, forcing me to leave the windows wide open all night. Consequently I slept very badly for only a couple of hours :(

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing due to the lack of response to a significant issue with the room. When I arrived, the room was unbearably hot, and there was no fan or any other way to cool it down despite the very hot weather. I contacted the host immediately and was told that fans had been ordered but would not arrive until the weekend. As I was checking out on Friday morning, this did not help during my stay. I replied to explain that the room remained extremely hot but received no further response and no alternative solution or offer of assistance. I understand that some issues may be outside a host's immediate control. However, what disappointed me most was the lack of communication and the absence of any effort to address the problem or make my stay more comfortable. My review reflects my genuine experience. Had the issue been acknowledged and handled more proactively, my overall impression would have been much more positive.
