What a wonderful find ! So well planned out, so easy to speak with them and everything was clearly communicated. The bed was unbelievable, so comfortable. Comfortable Stay

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding at nearby venue which was close to the property. We enjoyed our stay, bed was comfortable and warm. We had no issue with the room or property during the stay. Has we stayed for only one night didn't really have much opportunity to have good look around the property be everything looked well looked after and clean.

Ideal place as right near my son and dog friendly too

Location was excellent for us great for exploring the dales/ lakes or going to into the city for the Xmas market etc rooms were comfortable and clean

Not enough mugs only 3 and they was 5 of us, considering there was only one other person in the property there wasn't any room in the fridge or space for storage of our food Use of a communal room would have make the stay complete

I personally would not book again but do thank the host for his quick response and actions.

The location was perfect, not far from the motorway. I was upgraded to a room with my own patio door entrance and initial communication was clear and easy to follow. There was free parking, a communal kitchen which I did not use so cannot comment further on that, shared facilities which were adequate. I had a TV in my room, a recliner chair, desk and clothes rail alongside the bed. The bed was comfortable. Price was very good.

When I arrived I found my key safe open and empty and room door unlocked. It was immediately clear that the room either was in use or had been used and not cleaned/turned over. I made my way into the house and was greeted by a friendly guest. She gave me the hosts number to call, which I did with no answer. I then messaged the host via booking.com and text and asked repeatedly to be called. He did reply quickly to my messages and said he thinks the room had not been cleaned and allocated me another room and gave me the details to the key safe - which was also empty. I contacted him again and asked for a call, again no call but quick reply and he told me where to find the spare key. I cautiously knocked on the door to my new room as I thought I could hear the TV. I went to let myself in and it was occupied and I was met with an understandably angry guest. I apologised and made my way back downstairs to try and call/contact the host again. The host would not call me for some reason but did respond quickly to apologise and said he would come to the guest house to see what was happening. I had plans so I could not wait so I asked him to update me on if I had a clean room or if I had to find alternative accommodation. To be fair he did respond to my message quickly, he did apologise and he did explain my original room was my room - it just hadn’t been turned over. He personally cleaned it for me and offered me a partial refund for the inconvenience. Upon returning to the guest house around midnight I hesitantly let myself in and did try to settle but I could smell food (?fish) from the communal kitchen, which is a personal issue which others may not find a problem. I had to be up early so I sprayed some perfume and got to bed. I was woken up around 5am by other guests. I did not stay the 2nd night through personal choice. I can see the great reviews and it’s unfortunate this was not my experience.

Great value for money, clean, tidy and an accommodating host.

I have never stopped in a shared accommodation before and found it to be a pleasant experience. Great value for money and located nearby to the place of work. The rooms were clean and tidy and I had free access to all the main subscription channels. The host was contactable and dealt with queries promptly. This resulted in me booking a follow up stay for my second week.

Nothing that I did not like. Everything required for a stay was available.

The room was cozy and very well presented. The decor is themed and set it apart from other hotels, exceptional idea. The location is ideal for a short walk into the town centre. Would highly recommend.

The key safe wasn't under cover and in the rain it took a while to get the combination entered, I was soaked through.

Perfectly adequate for the needs of a solo traveler

Perfectly adequate for my needs as a solo traveler requiring a good value one night stop over whilst in the area. Everything was great from simple to find and access. A clean and comfortable room with everything that I needed. Shared kitchen facilities were perfectly adequate for my needs, I picked up a microwave meal. Dog friendly which was great, there is a. £15.00 surcharge. I would stay again if I was in the area.

It was all alright, thank you Chris. You had it all covered, just that I had forgotten that you had sent me details ahead of travel and I was looking for the code on the day we arrived ... , never mind it all sorted out ok.

Personally I detest any kind of room sent, from plug-ins to perfumed sticks/ candles and unfortunately they were everywhere.

Lovely stay but not the best

The owner is lovely and as a fellow dog-owner, it was so nice having pets around. I was here for a wedding so location was great for me. The room was spacious and tidy.

Unfortunately, when I booked, it stated I would have a private bathroom which wasn't the case. Also not so happy to find that the bathroom is in need of a real deep clean. I appreciate that the owners want to have nice aromas in the rooms but when I checked in, there was an overwhelming smell of sweet vanilla which I didn't really like (I'm so sorry!). It took me far too long to find where the plug-in was so I could take it out.

My stay was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and smelled amazing, which made the experience even more pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was in perfect condition—very clean and seemed newly renovated. The instructions to access the house were clear and easy to follow. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Perfect place for my mini break

The location was close to the amenities that I needed for my stay. The room was set up for a very relaxing stay as I wasn’t out all the time and the ambiance of the room was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and i slept well. The kitchen was very well equipped with all I needed and clear instructions were given on the areas of the kitchen I could use. The back garden was secure for my dog
