A Heartwarming Stay Filled With Thoughtful Details and Genuine Hospitality

An absolutely incredible place to stay. The room is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated down to the smallest detail. The host is the kindest and most genuine person you could imagine—always happy to recommend places and incredibly accommodating in every way. It truly felt like arriving at a friend’s home, someone who was genuinely waiting for you. We felt so welcomed and cared for. Every corner of the accommodation is clearly designed with great thought and love. What deeply warmed my heart was learning that this place used to be the host’s grandparents’ home and hearing how the area has evolved over time. It’s so touching to see old buildings being preserved and given a new purpose, all with so much love and respect. The bed was honestly the most comfortable one I have ever slept in—absolutely better than my own bed at home, and simply wow. The breakfast was wonderful, with many homemade items and incredibly delicious flavors. Since the property has only a few rooms, we truly enjoyed chatting with other guests at the breakfast table. A truly exceptional stay, and a place I would return to anytime.

A wow experience in a 200 year old house!

The rooms were very well decorated with 18th century furniture. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location quiet and relaxing but 10 minutes from Dijon centre.

I was disappointed with the gardens but it was October so not much to see.

A hidden gem in Dijon for a super comfortable stay with great hospitality.

We enjoyed the spacious, cosy, spotless room and bathroom. The interior decor was a nice mix of vintage and modern. The host, Raphael, was exceptionally kind in sharing his knowledge about Dijon and the region. The window overlooked a lovely garden.

we spent one night on our way home, everything we needed was there and the host was friendly.

Raphael was a charming host attentive to our needs. The house is beutifully arranged with antique furnishings and a great character. The adjacent bathroom was good and the bed comfortable.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Dijon

The owner was very friendly and helpful giving us a list of possible eating places in the city with instructions on how to get into the city, the house was beautifully furnished with a log fire it's a pity it was 40 degrees out we will have to come back when it's colder as it would be a lovely cosy hideaway

We will be back, best place for enjoying Dijon in a beautiful house and surroundings.

Such a beautiful house and room..Raphael was warm and gracious and helped us with easy directions for the centre as this is so close but seems so far away in a good way. The breakfast was beautiful and fresh and we would recommend the place to anyone needing a base for the region or passing through on the way south.

Good location short drive into town. Private secure parking. Beautiful rustic garden with the most amazing irises, lovely cherry tree. Had a two floor apartment adorned with the host’s colourful artwork. Spacious bedroom and great bed and mattress. Large kitchen/ lounge diner. Home made jam by the host Raphael.

If I could rate this property and the host 20 it would not be enough . I have stayed in many hotels Airbnb etc all over uk and Europe this has to rank as one of the very best . Spotlessly clean , an oasis of calm and peace .. even though just 20 minutes walk to centre of Dijon . Secure parking outside the property , an old converted barn with amazing furniture . Lovely bathroom , new kitchen , the list goes on and on . The host Raphael is fantastic , helpful , nothing too much trouble . Don’t miss out on this gem if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area .

disappointing. The access to the room is just not a practical one.

It is a beautiful property, the host Raphael was extremely friendly and nice to deal with. However the room in the house adjoining the main building is similar to a loft or barn conversion. It is not suitable for elderly people driving through europe on Vacation. There is a very narrow steep stairway to get up to the bedroom . There is no facility for a coffee or a tea at night. Perhaps the use of a kettle would be helpful. The bath is way too high for older people to get in and out of. Breakfast was ok. The choices were limited it is perhaps better to charge slightly more and provide a more comfortable room. The bed was most uncomfortable, the towels tired. Toiletries very minimal. Apart from a very friendly and welcoming host our experience was not a pleasant stay as we could not take our overnight luggage up etc.

Most definitely the room it was so hot there was no fan , the bathroom had a shower over the bath, the bath was way too high not a pleasant night .

A short escape into a French country reside

The room is in a pretty little house in the suburbs of Dijon. The landlord has decorated the entire house with antiques, paintings of landscapes, tapestries and pretty objects, lending the house an atmosphere of a little palace in the country. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is bright and modern with all the little necessities. In the summer the garden will be very nice to sit in.!We walked into the centre (25-30 minutes) and Raphaël gave us tips for restaurants. Breakfast was typically French - coffee, croissants and toasted bread, juice, delicious jam and stewed apple.

Magical atmosphere at a place with history.

The property had a lot of charm, which was really well maintained by our host. He was so very caring and welcoming, really lovely! The place is truly exceptional, with wonderful decor and attention to detail. The atmosphere is historical and very magical.

When looking for a bed in Dijon we strongly recommend this place!

The location was beautiful! A silent oase with a really nice garden in the city Dijon. 5 min drive to downtown centre with an enormous variety of really nice restaurants. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a lot of love into every detail. Despite our late registration, the host was very nice and friendly and let us charge our electric car overnight.

Fantastic lodgings!

Stayed in the lodge/garden outbuilding beside the main house. Restored lovingly by Raphael this is a very romantic and stylish place to stay. So cool! Private parking a bonus and only a short walk to town - we accepted Raphael’s offer of free bicycles and the ride in took little more than 5 minutes. The facilities in our extremely spacious room/lodge included a fully functional kitchen and dining area, and on the upper floor the bedroom and bathroom were wonderful. Stairs up are steep but no problem for us. Restaurant recommendations were excellent also. I would love to stay again and strongly recommend this property in Dijon.

Hele vriendelijke eigenaar, die alles zelf doet. Het huis en de kamers zijn erg smaakvol ingericht. Kort maar heel fijn verblijf.

Wij vonden de bedden te zacht maar dat komt omdat wij gewend zijn om op harde matrassen te slapen.

Ein wunderbarer und idyllischer Ort mit unglaublicher Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich in ein anderes Jahrhundert zurückversetzt. Unser Gastgeber liebt und sammelt Antiquitäten, ebenso Porzellan aus vergangenen Zeiten, welches sich auch auf dem Frühstückstisch wiederfand. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick in den Garten, Parkplatz und Frühstück inklusive. Was uns auch gefallen hat ist die Nähe zur Stadtmitte, die man auch zu Fuß erreichen kann. Über Tipps für gute Gastronomie haben wir uns sehr gefreut.
