We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anybody who wants a peaceful vacation.

Very well equipped, clean and modern appartment. Plus: We had two bathrooms which was an unexpected bonus. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Area perfect for people who want peace and quiet with a nice view out of big roof windows, it’s out of the way but Portree is only 15 minutes by car away.

Gorgeous views, super comfortable, convenient to everything we wanted to do. We lucked out with gorgeous overcast weather - and even a rainbow one evening. Our hosts were lovely and we are so glad to have made new friends in Scotland.

Lots of room which was great for our party of three. Clean. Laundry facilities handy. Nice deck to sit and enjoy view.

Lovely flat and hosts

Really lovely flat not far from Portree, a lot bigger than I had imagined, very clean and welcoming with everything you would need. Both bedrooms have a lovely en suite and even a washer/dryer. Would definitely stay here again.

Tranquil, relaxing and central just what we were looking for

the property was in the the perfect location, 8 miles from Portree and very central for all visitor attractions, the views over the the loch and hills were to die for, you will never tire of the views. FOUND OUT THAT THE PROPERTY WAS UP FOR SALE, IF IT WAS TWO YEARS ON, I WOULD SNAP IT UP IN A HEARTBEAT, GRAB YOURSELF A GREAT PROPERTY.

Size of apartment.

Fire blanket should be in a fixed place. The best place for a fire blanket is mounted on the wall, marked with the correct signage, red in colour, and where they will be easily seen. Not tucked away on the side of the unit Kitchen is not at all stocked. Zero thought is put into making it feel like home. At least having oil to cook would have been a simple touch. Instead guest are left to buy oil which would last anyone a month. No flexibility was given to dropping bags off earlier , this seemed a little unfair,excuse given was time was needed to clean despite having 6 hours to clean, a bit more of a human touch should be given when dealing with guests. Heating is on a countdown timer when pressed, guests are unable to put on a pre timer to come back to a warm home after a day out in the freezing cold. Entrance needs to be taken care under freezing condition as this iced over and no salt was laid leaving a dangerous slippery slope.

Great base for exploring the Isle

Excellent location, and Harish was super friendly and helpful. It was a perfect base for our family, allowing us to explore the island whilst having somewhere to rest at the end of the day.

The only downside was the lack of an oven, but we knew this when booking and it didn't impact our enjoyment.

Awesome time on Skye

We loved where the loft was located. From our windows we had a beautifull view on the loch. The little terrace with the seats was great. The loft itself was really clean, big enough for 4 and facilitated with a great kitchenette and great bathrooms.

Beautiful, spacious accommodation in a quiet location with lovely views. Property was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. Harish and Clemencia were very friendly, warm and welcoming hosts, who were happy to provide lots of information on the local area. The complimentary wine and shortbread were a lovely touch too! We loved our time there!

Throughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing location and spotlessly clean! Hosts were lovely and even left us a little gift upon arrival. Hosts met us at the gate for us arriving and had a little chat with us and explained everything throughly, even gave us recommendations for where to eat and places to visit! If either of us came back to Scotland we would definitely stay here again!

Perfection

What beautiful views from our windows. Just what I needed! Harish and Clemencia were such welcoming hosts. They helped us to get reservations at 2 restaurants when there were none to be had in Portree. They also gave us great ideas for our daily adventures. Plus it was a good place to stay with a teenager as he was glad to finally have his own space.

Met hosts on arrival, could not be more pleasant and very helpful. Property was extremely well turned out with everything you could possible need for a stay. We were working in Portree and it was a very pleasant 10 minute drive from the accommodation. Would have no hesitation in recommending Sea Shimmer.

Harish was very welcoming and extremely helpful; he gave us lots of information and offered to answer any questions at any time! The property was amazing; spotlessly clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of four. The shortbread and bottle of wine upon arrival were also a nice touch! The views were beautiful; it was lovely to look out over the loch each morning. The 10 minute drive to Portree was very straightforward and we thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty of Treaslane alongside the convenience of being near the town. Overall, we all loved Sea Shimmer!
