It was a very enjoyable stay and, would return if in the area again

It was a very comfortable stay. A hearty breakfast each morning, and Kim & Peter were excellent hosts.

Great place owned and run by really nice people

Fantastic 500 year old cottage kept beautifully. You may need to be prepared for some small and uneven rooms which all adds to the experience. All are well fitted with nice bathrooms, plenty of sockets and storage. Parking is well organised as is breakfast and there is a guest lounge and garden if you need it. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Kim and Peter will make you feel welcome and are both really helpful

Nothing but sadly the adjoining pub had shut down for a week or so due to changing owners. It looks like a nice pub to enjoy a drink and meal when open

Lovely venue in a great location!!

I liked that the location was not in the busy town-centre, but still close enough. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed linen and towels are of very good quality and the room was very nice. Kim and Peter were both very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included was very nice and the selection of what you can have is very good. The ingredients were of a high quality and I assume it’s from local suppliers which is great. Another great plus is that there is a very nice country style pub across the road. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this venue to other people.

Restored property, lots of charm. Clean and proprietors were welcoming and shared good info. Very much evidence of the care from the owners.

Minor detail: would have liked to put feet up in lounge using recliners. Not plugged in? Otherwise very nice stay.

Perfect B&B to explore Devon

The property is perfect. It looks great, it’s looked after very well, and it’s managed perfectly. I can say this is the best B&B I’ve ever visited. We had clear instructions for everything and every tiny need of the guests is fulfilled immediately.

It may be a bit far from Sidmouth centre/beach but no problem if you drive. This the old farm as we understood so it would be in the countryside of course.

We found the whole experience of staying with Kim and Peter in their fabulous thatch cottage fantastic. If we did not have work commitments at home we would have stayed longer. We cannot fault anything. Loved the whole weekend.

Friendly and helpful hosts in a charming old property that has been really tastefully restored. Room impeccably clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent.

Limited daylight in room, but this was purely down to the age of the cottage, so really not a big issue.

A comfortable, charming, marvellously presented thatched accommodation hosted by genuine people.

The breakfast was provided exactly as requested, plenty of options and the coffee was almost ' on tap'. The hosts were down to earth, very engaging with all of the guests present, all with good humour. The accommodation is a marvel to look at, live in, and in a lovely location, including being very close to a lovely little pub, serving good food. There was a folder provided containing information of local tourist attractions that could be visited during our stay, everything seemed to have been provided to assist in us enjoying our stay there. The beds were super comfortable, I had two of the best nights' sleep ever!

I wished that the en-suite could've been just a few inches 'deeper', so that I could wash my face without bumping onto the bathroom door, but that seemed to add to the character of the 15th Century building, quite carefully restored.

Owners Kim and Peter have got things exactly right. They are a great team. Breakfasts are cooked to order each morning, everything is top quality. For once, I cannot think of anything to criticise. And 50 yards from the Bowd Inn for evening meal. Perfect.

Kim and Peter are the most professional and charming hosts, providing the loveliest Guest House ever.

Everything is wonderful. The Barn has been beautifully and sensitively restored. The original features and character have been kept throughout, and thoughtfully intertwined with contemporary features, providing absolutely fabulous, extremely comfortable accommodation for visitors to stay and enjoy this glorious part of Devon.

A very enjoyable holiday and hopefully we'll come back sometime.

We had breakfast included in our package and it was exceptional! You could choose what you wanted and Kim & Peter were always willing to make adjustments if necessary. The location is just off the main road, but at night time there is very little traffic. Great to have a car parking space allocated and nice to have a pub nearby for a drink in the evening.

The owners are very friendly and helpful and the rooms although small, are very clean and well maintained. Everything was very well organised and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Breakfast was limited to a 30 minute window which was a little restrictive. The bathroom was tiny even for someone of average height (which I’m not) and it made it difficult to use the facilities.
