We had warm welcome and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and nice clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and all in all it was a good stay at a very good price

One of the friendliest and nicest places we have stayed at for a long time!

All the staff, especially the lady who looked after us at breakfast, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - and trouble was taken to give us exactly what we wanted. The room was really comfortable. It really was excellent and we will be back

It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit and more variety of bread or pastries for breakfast. And we we were a bit disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t available on Sunday night But they were little things…

Excellent room above a pub in Sidmouth and delicious cooked breakfast included. Welcoming staff.

The place was really comfortable and very clean. The bed was really warm and great mattress, really superb. We were warned that there could be music during the week beforehand as it is above a pub, but we didn't experience anything. It was really quiet and peaceful. And the cooked breakfast was delicious.

There wasn't anything we were unhappy about. Only thing could be a hairdryer in the room for those to dry their hair with!

Good value for a short stay in Sidmouth.

Our room was comfy and clean. The location was good for what we needed. The pub was quiet during our stay so we weren’t troubled by noise from the bar below.

Breakfast service was a bit haphazard but perfectly fine once it materialised.

Over all very good, Very welcoming staff, the room was lovely and very warm.

Nice Friendly staff

The breakfast area was not great, the coffee machine didn't work well, The tables were quite worn and what looked like some kind of resin stuck to them and the room just felt a bit worn. There was only once glass available for juices and the cups that were there were way to big for how much coffee did come out of the machine. The basics just need looking at and the breakfast experience would be much better. The food was very enjoyable though !

The staff were very friendly which made our short one night stop over a good experience

The room is a little tired and needs decorating, there were a few bits that could be fixed easily like the toilet roll holder and it was add real value to the experience. The TV screen images size wasnt right. But as i have said above, staff were really helpful so this is only intended to assist improving things.

Very pleasant staff, location good as town centre a short bus ride or 30 minute walk. We had a twin room (Connaught), beds were clean and comfortable, excellent shower the room had, I suspect, been recently redecorated. Breakfast was good.

Although room decor was reasonable why wasn’t the carpet replaced at the same time? Room cleanliness was ok, however, the covered lampshade was full of dust, evident when the light was switched on. Only one bedside lamp. The stair carpet outside the letting rooms badly needs replacing.

Pleasant stay

The property was centrally located for the purpose of our trip. Staff were very helpful & very pleasant, could not fault them. Room was tastefully decorated, bed lovely & comfortable Breakfast was included in the price & very tasty swell as good selection to choose from I would return

Unfortunately the carpet on the stairs & entrance area could either be replaced or cleaned it was very sticky Bedroom door & bathroom door could be cleaned better, some dirt marks I believe there are new owners recently and they are updating the venue.

A very pleasant pub in a convenient location.

I didn't have an evening meal. The breakfasts were quite good, freshly cooked, and the choice was flexible to vary a bit from the menu. The ensuite room was very smart and the shower excellent.

It would have been nice to offer muesli (not granola) and yogurt for breakfast plus some fruit.

Brilliant staff, comfortable room and excellent value for money

The staff were all exceptional. Extremely welcoming with a great customer service ethos. The room was great and the beds and pillows are possibly the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was delicious, with a very good range of options available. The only very slight quibble that stopped this from being a 10 was the limited availability of drinks and food on the evening (my friend had to have her third choice of wine as the first two were unavailable) and several menu items were not available. I understand that they were awaiting a delivery
