Kitchen closed for food at 8.45pm. Rooms a bit cramped.

The breakfast - the room, the options, the food itself was delicious. I had the full cooked breakfast and the bacon pancakes, portion size was good. The service was good, nothing seemed like too much trouble. The location is perfect, a handful of pubs, cafes restaurants to choose from, just a 2 minute walk to the pebble beach. The room was fine for my needs, the shower although small had good pressure and heat The complimentary water and tea/coffee facilities were a nice touch The bed was comfortable

The on-site car park is small and unfortunately was closed for an event during my stay, the next available car park was up on a cliff top a short drive away but cumbersome to walk down with a weekend case. This was not communicated to me before the stay so was a bit hectic trying to find somewhere to park (arrived on a Saturday afternoon during the summer holidays, was quite busy). I was reimbursed for the parking charges though which was nice. The hotel was hosting said event and I was informed would go on until about midnight. Not a problem, except my room was directly facing out onto the carpark/courtyard and the walls/windows were very thin and the curtains not very thick - did not get a great night's sleep that night. The evening food was just okay, I had the caesar salad and the fish and chips - didn't seem like they did table service so had to go back to the bar for condiments etc Although it seemed like a lovely pub, I think the hotel side could do with a little work. But for 2 nights and the price it did the trick.
