Eyre Court Hotel

Breakfast - good selection - good swift delivery after ordering. Evening meal "Steak night" was very good. Room was clean and very comfortable. At last a hotel that has a radiator that works!!! Within two minute walk to shops and sea front. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, wanting to make my stay enjoyable.

Had to request shower mat. Should have requested a separate side plate for my toast - it was delivered on the same plate as cooked breakfast.

It was a beautiful,welcoming building. Very clean, warm,comfortable & tastefully decorated. The location is perfect being close to the seafront and all amenities. The staff and locals were very friendly and helpful,nothing was too much trouble . The full English Breakfast was amazing. The evening meal was very good,freshly cooked with generous portions. The out of season price is very good value and Seaton is delightful at this time of year. We will definitely be returning.

Location ideal for walking and birdwatching holiday. Breakfast was lovely. Staff exceptional.

The tea and coffee facilities in the room were balanced on a precarious little tray on top of a very small table. Accident waiting to happen !

Rooms were very nice and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and beer selection in the pub very good.

The was a pleasant, warm and friendly atmosphere in the bar and my fish and chips were very welcome.

The breakfast was pretty dire, with little choice of cereals and no croissant. I asked for a soft boiled egg and the egg was pretty well completely raw. Overall Seaton is not a great place to overnight.

Staff were great especially the guy that worked the evening behind the bar. Breakfast was excellent.

Shower needs replacing. Non where for a lady to do hair and makeup etc. Nowhere to hang towels etc in bathroom. No toilet roll holder.

Room had a lot of cobwebs with thick dust on the table lamp. Bought an evening meal which was disappointing. Didn’t feel it was worth the £180 paid for the night.

Ideal location by beach and village centre. Lovely welcoming staff, comfortable room, nice breakfast, clean. Kind and friendly to our dog. Enjoyed a very tasty bar meal in the evening also, whilst listening to a live band. Enjoyable stay.

The position was lovely.

There was no shampoo in the bathroom, and the shower was very compact. We were not informed at booking that there would be a music festival at the hotel. Even though it finished at 8pm, during dinner it was difficult to hold a conversation.

The location is good but the car parking could be a problem.

In the bedroom the window would not stay open for ventilation unless you propted it open with something. The extractor fan did not work in the bathroom maybe because of the amount of dust.

A very pleasant small hotel/pub in the centre of town only a few minutes walk from the sea. The room was comfortable and well presented. Parking is free but there is not a lot of space, but we were able to park there. Breakfast was very good, the staff are helpful, and we enjoyed our short stay.

We were really impressed with the size of the room, massive amount of storage space, light and airy, plenty of pillows and cushions, nice large bathroom. The breakfast menu was good - could maybe benefit from some fresh fruit and yoghurt but that's just my preference. My partner was very pleased with the full english. Juice options and plenty of coffee or tea available. The 'Burger and a Pint' £10 offer on a Friday evening is delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not a dislike but parking could be a little limited but fortunately for us we managed to park onsite for the 7 nights we were there. However we did scout out parking locally and there are options.

Everything we needed and comfortable at a fantastic price! Also close the the sea front and other restaurants and shops. Free Parking on site was a bonus! Lovely team, thanks so much for looking after us!

The hotel wasn’t serving food in the day time so we had to eat out. Breakfast was chaotic with other problems in the kitchen. The hotel looks tired and needs some redecoration.

I don’t normally write negative reviews but these improvements cost nothing & it might just be the difference between customers coming back or not. I realise things are tough, possibly there is no money to spare for refurbishment, but there is no excuse for filth. Mould on the curtains & in the shower, the fan & skirting boards in the bathroom were filthy . The mattress sloped on one side so much I thought I was falling out of bed. The food was not great and when I ordered a toasted bacon sandwich for breakfast , and it arrived on ‘wet bread’ the waitress argued that they don’t do toasted sandwiches …. I had to show her on the menu. 20mins later toast arrived and I was congratulated for being the first person to ever have pointed it out to them on all the years they’ve been there… The other breakfast items were clearly the cheapest you could possibly source. ‘Everyone’ at breakfast were commenting on the service. There were relics of a previous ownership that had tried to improve and attract customers, the decor in the dining room, the beer garden but instead of continuing those standards, it smacked of a management that has either no experience or has just lost the will .

Sunday dinner Only chicken dinner available and booked well in advance for 5pm and had only chicken wings absolutely disgusting to not have any normal meat

Approach to bedroom via small yard very tatty. Very limited and poor choice of food for Continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast OK.
