We went back to the Heathfield at lunchtime and explained that we had had no breakfast (There were staff in by that time) They prepared a cooked breakfast for us even though breakfast had finished a couple of hours previously. Hurrah! Thanks to Dion & chef.
When we went down to breakfast there was none. No staff were present. We had an appointment at 9am. I had no food, my spouse found a box of cereal on a dresser and I eventually managed to source some milk from the kitchen. 2 cats were waiting to be fed, the bar and kitchen were open but the place was like the Marie Celeste. Hot water from basin tap was scalding, bathroom fan in room 3 sounds like ball bearings in a washing machine.

The staff were friendly, bed comfortable and room was large.
The bath water was cold and the bar speaker was under our room so was kept awake until 12 every night until the music stopped. Also there was a loud event until 12 one night. Not great when you seek peace and quiet. Was not expecting the pub to be in the middle of a housing estate.
