Great location , easy to find and adequate parking .
It seemed things were a bit chaotic with staffing whether short staffed or inexperienced, in the bar a lot of drinks were unavailable, and in the morning the breakfast was very disorganised with the coffee machine not even set up to work correctly .
Staff were always polite but you could see they were under pressure.

Proximity to airport, easy parking, friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed.
The decor of the rooms and dining area was soulless and depressing, food was average (at best) and the beer was terrible.

Great location for access into Exeter and for the M5. Very pleasant and helpful staff throughout. Requested to change rooms due to a dog barking in the next room which was no issue at all. Very considerate of people's needs, especially disabled guests. Room location handy as directly opposite the lift so not far to walk to. Clean and a reasonable standard of size for a double bedroom, with a sofa to relax on as well.
The bed in 120 was not as comfortable as the beds we have stayed in at the hotel previously, there was no give in it and felt rather like sleeping on hard board or an air bed, so not great for comfort. The room location in the hotel whilst convenient, also has the flip side issue of being directly at the thoroughfare of all foot traffic due to lift and stair access which made the morning a little noisier than hoped for as people were up to breakfast from 06.30, so not a quiet lay in. One of the bedside lights (left) could only be operated from the right main side as the switch was faulty on the left, but a very minor inconvenience.

The curtains appeared to be new. There was a disabled parking space and it was only £6 for the night.
Tired, dated and dirty. Way past it's best. The room was so dark with navy wallpaper, it was difficult to read a book. The mugs, glasses and teaspoons were dirty and had obviously been used. There were pubic hairs on the shower, there was a stain on the bathroom floor. It was very dusty all through. The duvet cover had a makeup mark on it. The bed and the pillows were lumpy, and it was very noisy from inside the hotel. The out of date air-conditioning/heating sounded like a Chinook helicopter, so I switched it off, but it made constant noises trying to settle itself. There was a cold draught coming from the windows. There were crumbs on the carpet. I feel that either their housekeeper hadn't been shown how to clean properly, or the supervisor didn't check the work. I paid £60 via booking.com, but had I booked directly, it would have been £83. It was worse than a £29 saver room I've had at another hotel chain. The Holiday Inn used to be the cat's pajamas for me, but now it is a sad stray moggy. I don't know if it's just this hotel, but it does not live up to the expectations of a quality brand name. I'm so disappointed to have to write a rubbish review, and I will probably leave my IHG membership too.

Superb value for money. Breakfast unbelievable for the price included. Superb room and lovely staff. Will book again and recommend!
Air conditioning controls even though were turned off was still blowing in warm air and noisy. Could not fault anything else in the room. Superb breakfast. Incredible value for money but the toaster took absolutely ages to toast the bread and my husband had to start eating his breakfast without me while I waited for it to toast.

Staff was so friendly and I can't thank Matt from the front desk enough, he's definitely a credit to the hotel brand and went out of his was to help me since the beginning. Brilliant work Matt thank you so much! 😊

Location was great. Breakfast was excellent.
Room and bed clean
Room was cold, aircon heating not working. Stand alone heater was in room, worked but couldn't regulate the temperature in the room.
No heating in the bathroom & floor was very cold.
Quilt wasn't big enough for 2 people sharing a bed.

Staff very welcoming and friendly, room is a nice size with a big bed, nice and comfortable. Everywhere else in this price bracket is either a single or twin, this was the only double I could find at this price throughout the entirety of Exeter, mby I missed one somewhere, or it was already vooked up, but there can't be many.
They were a bit stingy with the amount of sugar supplied on the tea and coffee station in the room.

Unfortunately our Our recent stay at this Holiday Inn was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of inclusivity and understanding shown toward our child with special needs. Instead of being met with patience or support, we felt judged and unwelcome, which made the stay stressful from the start.
The staff were also noticeably rude throughout our visit. Simple questions were met with attitude, and when we tried to raise concerns, we were dismissed rather than helped. This was especially upsetting given the situation with our child.
On top of that, the room itself was far too small for a family, offering very little space or comfort. The noise levels were constant as well — loud hallways, doors slamming, and disturbances late into the night made it nearly impossible to rest.
We were also unhappy to discover that we had to pay for parking, despite being told over the phone that parking was free. This felt misleading and added an unexpected cost to an already disappointing stay.
Overall, this hotel fell far below the standards we expected. Until the staff receive proper training in customer care and inclusivity — and until the hotel becomes more transparent and improves its overall quality — we cannot recommend this location.

Evening meal let it down - food was nice, but wasn't a lot of options and could have been better.

The location was great and the parking, though costly, was convenient. The room size was OK for 3 people but the bed settee was very uncomfortable for our daughter. Breakfast was good but very busy!
The bed settee was very uncomfortable - maybe consider using trundle beds in family rooms instead? I was disappointed at the high additional charge for parking - out of town sites usually have the benefit of free parking.

Family room was very small!

Breakfast options were good.
Very comfortable, good value.
Lovely big bed that was comfortable.
The receptionist when I arrived was not very welcoming and did not explain the parking clearly. He did not direct my attention to the parking machine in the lobby.

Accommodation great.. GF room request arranged for us. Heating and cleanliness excellent.
Breakfast food obviously being limited as to what was available although we were 40 minutes from closing.
This included breakfast was the main reason we chose HI instead of other hotel chains. Disappointing.

Very friendly staff. Facilities OK. Lift was broken during my stay so I was given a ground floor room as I would struggle up the stairs with my suitcase.
Breakfast was Ok. The fruit compote was limited - tart berries only. The usual powdered eggs used for scrambled eggs.
6.0 / 10.0
Spacious room. Walk in shower. Iron in the room
Location good - near park and ride to travel into Exeter
Breakfast - chaotic as staff weren’t monitoring when items needed topping up. Waited over 5 mins for bacon, sausage and beans to be topped up - beans came but asked about other items to be told still in the oven!!! As breakfast is free they must have an idea of numbers! Tables not cleared quickly enough - and no facility for you to do it yourself
The position of main light in room poor - not near enough to the mirror and no switch by the door. No sockets near bed. In an accessible room - sockets at floor level
