Perfect place to enjoy your time in Dubrovnik

I highly recommend staying at Dominus rooms. They were very friendly and responsive. The receptionist was especially helpful, giving me clear explanations about the Old Town, recommending restaurants, and even making a dinner reservation for me. Some reviews mentioned the stairs, but the they kindly helped with my heavy luggage, so it wasn’t a problem. My room was lovely and cosy, with air conditioning and a beautiful morning view from the window. The property is in a private residential area, so it was very quiet at night. Thanks to them, I had a perfect stay in Dubrovnik and would love to return in the future.

I honestly have nothing negative to say. One of the mugs was broken, but it didn’t matter as there was another one available.

Nice room in a quiet area

It does take a little work to get to - up a fair number of steps, but the room is down a narrow little street to a very quiet part of the m neighborhood. It was really nice to get away from the crowds. The room was a little smaller than I expected, but very nice, clean and well appointed.. We were initially meet by a very nice guy who acquainted us with the neighborhood and town and gave us lots of information on things to see and places to eat. Overall, a very nice experience

Lovely room and service that went above and beyond - would thoroughly recommend!

Great central location which was ideal for us as it was just a one night stay due to joining a cruise ship the next day. We had arranged to use their taxi service from the airport which worked really well and the receptionist met us outside Pile Gate to help us with our bags which was great as there are a lot of steps and not sure we'd have managed on our own! We were given lots of local recommendations and shown to our room which was clean and well presented with a good sized bathroom and some thoughtful extra touches. We were also able to leave our bags at reception the following day after check out so we could spend some time exploring the city. Would definitely recommend.

No negatives other than there is a lot of steps to negotiate which obviously isn't the fault of the owner and the price you pay for such a central location.

Perfect to explore Dubrovnik

The service at this boutique hotel is outstanding. They welcomed us warmly, helped us with our luggage to the rooms and gave us their contact details to call in case we needed anything at anytime of the time.

The stairs could be difficult for some people, but if you want to stay in the old city stairs are expected.

Excellent Service, Excellent Accommodations, Perfectly Situated in Heart of Old Town.

The owner, Marela, reached out to me via WhatsApp a couple of days before we were to arrive to make sure we had the address and to see if we had any questions. We needed to drop off our luggage early before check-in. That was no problem! And, bonus, our room was ready 2 hours before set check-in time, and Romano, who works in the office, contacted me to let me know we could come back as soon as we were ready to check in. They arranged a transport for us so it was easy when we needed to go to the airport. Service was definitely A-plus! The room was also fantastic! Spacious, extremely comfortable with a large bathroom and full amenities. We stayed in the Dominus rooms instead of the Dominus Palace rooms. The difference is the Dominus is a bit more spacious and down a walkway so away from the noise of people coming and going. Our room was absolutely silent! Perfect resting place on our last day of a two-week journey. Importantly, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. This is perfectly situated in the heart of Old Town which is where you want to stay!

The only thing I could mention is that you do have to climb some stairs - maybe 20 or so? But, this young man working at Soul Kitchen (which is at the bottom of the steps) quickly jumped in to carry our luggage for us. What a treat! He wouldn't accept a tip and asked that we come back for a bite, which we did. Their food was delicious with lots of healthy options. Added bonus--if you mention that you are staying at Dominus you get a 10% discount.

Location is perfect. Inside the old city walls but very quiet section. Beautiful room! Staff was awesome.

It was perfect! The only drawback would be if someone cannot do stairs. But that’s old city Dubrovnik. But the staff carried our bags up and back! They were awesome!

Simply perfect

Everything. This felt somewhat like a boutique hotel (they had a lobby, regular cleaning staff, and were supportive with questions) but also felt like a private apartment tucked away in a corner of town. The location was amazing - quiet, with a beautiful view over the city, but also close to the main streets. And everyone was so helpful with our questions! It was perfect.

The property was hidden away - out of sight of the main streets of the Old Town which was perfect for peace and quiet and relaxation. The room was beautiful with everything of a high standard. The staff were attentive and helpful and were charming.

The room was stunning the decor was done to a very high standard with all the features required.

The only downside of this although it did not affect us as we are very active and psychically fit was the amount of steps up to the room. However Dubrovnik is full of steps.

Our stay in the Dominus Rooms could not have been any better. We loved everything about it. It’s a magical place to stay

The room was very beautiful and very comfortable. The pictures don’t even do it justice. But more than that, the staff was amazing! We felt like kings and queens. The location is also really good. We could get anywhere within Ild Town really easily.

Like everywhere in Old Town, be prepared for the stairs. Getting your suitcase up a bunch of stairs to get to the rooms can be a little tricky, but that is probably the case in every location in Old Town. So the only negative here is the same negative you would have anywhere.

Exceptional Stay

Look no further than this amazing accommodation. Mirela and her team were exceptional in their level of customer service. My friend and I were both carrying injuries and unable to manage our suitcases up the stairs. Help was quickly arranged and we couldn't be more grateful.

the staff was fantastic and so friendly. the room was quaint and beautifully appointed, amd provided a very authentic experience in the old city. i would recommend these accommodations without reservation, other than the note below.

nothing could have been done better, but i will say that traveling the stairs to get to check-in, and then knowing there were more stairs to our actual guest room was daunting. that said, the team (as well as some waitstaff from a nearby restaurant) were immediately helpful in carrying our luggage up the remaining stairs, to reception, and then ultimately to our guest room.

Exceptional

The beautiful reception area was located inside Dominus Little Palace, a separate part of the guest house. Mirela, our wonderful host, was very friendly and welcoming. Our rooms had been prepared ahead of schedule so she walked with us to Dominus Rooms before leaving us to settle in. The route from the reception area to the accommodation was straightforward and took less than one minute. A stunningly characterful building with exposed stonework and wooden shutters on the windows, Dominus Rooms had just two separate en-suite bedrooms. I travelled with family members and we booked both rooms so we had the entire place to ourselves! The spacious, spotlessly clean bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated and furnished. As well as a kettle with tea and coffee, each room had a fridge and safety deposit box. The bathrooms had amazing showers with complimentary toiletries from The White Company and plenty of towels. The powerful air conditioning was wonderful. We used the free Wi-Fi on just a few occasions but it worked well each time. If you like a view from your bedroom window, opt for the Queen Room (but the Old Town itself offers so many great viewpoints either way). The accommodation was nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle on a quiet alleyway. The centre of the Old Town was just a few minutes’ walk away, which meant the points of interest, restaurants and shops were still within very easy reach. With literally thousands of steps inside the walled Old Town, the comparatively few to Dominus Rooms (perhaps a total of 40-50 from Pile Gate) were absolutely fine for us, even with our luggage; they were just part and parcel of staying in this charming part of Dubrovnik.
