The welcome on arrival, the friendliness and attentiveness of the hotel staff, the spacious room with modern facilities and the restaurant service. The room lacked air conditioning at an unusually hot time of the year but there was ample opportunity to eat outside in the shade. Air-conditioned bus services to Bregenz and Dornbirn (available free of charge with a Bodensee-Vorarlberg Tourismus guest-card) stopped nearby and long-distance trains serving St Margrethen in Switzerland were reachable on foot (about 1 km away).
There was a community event with loud amplified music in the Kirchplatz on one weekend evening. There was sometimes traffic congestion at the St Margrethen border crossing.

Friendly, kind, exceptional staff. It was a joy to spend a relaxing evening and comfortable night at Die Linde. I wish I could have stayed longer so I will return later this year.

That would be great to have complimentary still water apart from sparkling water.
