The beach front is really bad . I booked a room for a family and the bed had 2 mattresses instead of one and it was hard to accomodate our baby in the middle ! The food at the restaurant had very very limited options . For dinner you can only find either lachs or steak and that is it ! And even breakfast was fair

Hotel clearly wants to market itself as high end but failing to deliver.

The location was lovely and the building is nice, certainly will be when renovations are complete. Also, the Italian opposite is lovely!

We booked a lake view but felt this was miss sold, tiny patch of lake visible unless you hung out of the window. The staff were ambivalent at best, certainly would not say friendly. No indication on booking that significant building works ongoing so the drilling and flattening of the new drive was noisy and caused vibrations throughout, starting at 8am. The shower gel fell off the wall. Beds were hard. Also on arrival at 4:55pm found door to reception closed had to trek round the place to find a back door to the restaurant to be let in. Again not very welcoming. All in all disappointed, this was one of the more expensive hotels we have booked and just did not deliver on welcoming, comfort or promised lake view.

Room quite hot despite thick castle walls. Fan provided as standard. It was hot outside at 28deg .Aircon would have been an excellent addition.

Lovely place

This is a lovely hotel, our room had a fantastic view of the gardens and lake beyond. The restaurant serves good food and there's a good choice at breakfast. The staff are pleasant and helpful. It's conveniently close to a ferry stop.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - great location, good room, great atmoshphere.

Our 2 breakfasts were great. We also ate 2 dinners on site and the food as well as the table seating was very good. Also enjoyed the corridors on each floor with the antique furniture and the beautiful artwork.

We got lucky on parking, but there is clearly a parking shortage for the number of rooms.

The location was amazing and breakfast was delicious. The room was great.

Someone complained that they room was dark in another review. I thought the room was fine. I’ll admit it was not bright enough to put in makeup in the bathroom. I had to use the mirrors in the room itself. Maybe change the bathroom bulbs to halogens and the place would be perfect. Otherwise it was magical!

Location and ambience is awesome. Staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. I love to return here and it gets better year by year.

Just wow!

Say "hotel was awesome" means say nothing about Schloss Hotel Wasserburg. I spent half of each year in hotels but this stay motivate me return to hotel and spend here my vacations. All pictures you can find about couldn't reflect atmosphere and your impressions when you open door of your room. Book and try - this is what I can say about hotel. Breakfast was perfect, location like from Harry Potter movie. Definitely will visit next Summer.

Hey! Words "didn't like" are not about this place. I don't like my work schedule which do not give me possibility stay in this hotel more often
