Delightful stay in Lindau

Everything. Would definitely return. Warm welcome from receptionist. Room available earlier than check-in time. Romm was compact and ideal for 3 night stay. All staff friendly. Breakfasts - excellent food, pleasant dining area. Location of hotel in main shopping street. 5-10 min walk from ferry, train.

All staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is modern and clean, not very samll. The location is top, you can access amazing landviews in few minutes. The Lindau insel is incredible place, must visit.

A Pleasant Enough Stay - Just B&B Rather Than A Full Hotel Experience

The secure parking is underground and very safe for cars but tricky to get to and some distance away from the hotel. Beds are reasonably comfy and all have mattress protectors. Wardrobe space is perfectly adequate. Water is provided in a mini fridge. A desk, small round table and two chairs adds to the comfort factor. Some of the staff are wonderfully welcoming and friendly (but not all).

The property is a little tricky to get to if travelling by car and it's a terrible faff to get your key if arriving later than 6pm as all the staff seem to go home then. There is no bar or restaurant. There are no tea/coffee facilities. After 6pm the place is a bit like the Mary Celest. The shower en-suite is tiny. It's clean but there isn't enough room for two washbags. There is no air conditioning; a fan was promised in the blurb but not provided. There is no safety deposit box. Breakfast is a bit basic and you feel like you are sitting in a shop window as the room is directly on street level in the town centre. On the second morning of our stay there were no tables available in the breakfast room so we had to wait; fortunately, our sightseeing tour had been cancelled otherwise we would have had to leave without eating breakfast.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was confortable and clean. The location was perfect as you are right in the middle of the island few minutes away from the arbour. The breakfast was also really good. I have been in Lindau a few times, stayed in different hotels and I highly recommend the Insel Hotel.

Brilliant location, quiet and spacious. Nice breakfast. Staff very helpful with bike parking even when I arrived after hours.

Room was very warm and the tiny fan provided was loud. Staff forgot to give me the key code to the hotel, so when I arrived in the rain, had to wait outside called them to be let in. Little expensive, but not too bad. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Nice central Euro style hotel on this beautiful Island, with excellent breakfast

Good service, we arrived late and were in need of parking. Staff called to tell us what to do and made things easier for us. Breakfast was excellent. Location in the pedestrian part of town was great for reaching everywhere on this beautiful small island. Room is Euro sized, so was compact. But there is enough space for everything.

Being so close to a pedestrian thoroughfare, you can hear the odd conversation late at night through the window as people file home. We would have liked a kettle to make some tea, but there wasn't one in the room when we arrived late. i expect if we arrived earlier and requested, the staff would have provided one.

Room recently renovated, excelent location and breakfast. Very nice and attentive team.

The reception is small and could be improved. There was a strong wind during the night and a noise came from the ventilation system of the restroom (this was not nice).
