Perfect last minute deal and Memorable stay in Lindau

Hotel Staff is very friendly and gave all the information prior to arrival, since it was holiday season. Room, Location and Breakfast all was exceptional. Also got public transport tickets at arrival. Location of the hotel is perfect, in front of the Railway Station.

Nothing in particular. Some of the information brochures could require updates. Steps in the hallway could be identified with better signs.

The room is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty.

A wonderful stay in a welcoming hotel with fabulous staff and very high standards in all aspects.

The location of the hotel was perfect, just five minutes from the harbour and two minutes from the train station. The staff were super helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The adjoining bar was also fabulous and I received lots of good advice for things to do and see in the town. The breakfast room was bright and welcoming and the breakfast options were varied and all of an excellent quality, there was even filter coffee available. My single room was surprisingly spacious and the bed very comfortable. The ensuite was also of a high standard and spotlessly clean. I would definitely return to the Vis a Vis.

The rooms are extremely outdated. we had the use the sofa bed for the kids and it is clearly ready for replacement you can’t sleep there. No AC. A Tiny fan was provided but the rooms concentrate the heat and we are used to that living in Europe . For people used to AC it would be unmanageable .Overall, rooms need significant renovation.Very limited English spoken almost none and it isn’t a family friendly place . Overall, The place caters to retired German speakers and it isn’t value for money.

Location was great but unfortunately some individuals drink in front of train station and can be very noisy. Interrupted sleep due to loud talking and even singing in early morning hours.

Having a fire truck come through all the small streets on a Saturday evening while dining was very unpleasant.

Breakfast was decent and the location is great.

Staff’s lack of customer orientation and the imbalanced value for money. Front office staff at reception clearly has never worked in a service or customer facing role. The conversations were abrupt and borderline rude. Service personnell was smoking in the back of the house with the door left open, so the whole lobby filled up with cigarette smoke. As for the value for money, the so called family room we booked for us as a family of four was a normal room with a separate room attached. The 2nd room had a lamp a bedside table and what looked like a IKEA foldable bed inside . It is very hard to justify that kind of premium in the room rates with only the location, as there wasn’t much else that would stand out above average. Definitely dampened the overall impression of the property.

Wonderful hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Receptionist spoke English very well. Wonderful breakfast! No air-conditioning, but fan was available. Very clean and very quiet. A few steps across the street from the train station. Everything is walkable or ride a bike.

Bed was on the uncomfortable side.
