Nice, charming hotel in central Bregenz

Nice hotel in central Bregenz, close to the lake, train station and surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. There is (paid and with a discount) parking very close, opposite the hotel. The bed was comfy, the room clean and well maintained. There was a small bar fridge well stocked. The breakfast was quite nice and diverse. The hotel has its separate restaurant close-by, and it has great food and service.

The building is old, and although quite charming, this comes with the disadvantage of squeaky floors and loud hallways. We heard party people coming back to their rooms at 2AM, and loud people outside in the street. If you are not very sensitive about sleep you should be fine. Strangely enough, the cold water on the tap often ran quite warm, so we had very hot and mid-warm water only :) but if you waited 2-3 mins colder water ran again randomly from time to time.

My room was large and comfortable, including the bed. Breakfast was super, with a lot of different options. They explained parking, which was fine. The location was absolutely perfect - in the middle of Old Town.

The parking was in a garage across from the hotel and it had multiple steps which made moving the luggage around a bit of a hassle. But the hotel was centrally located so I guess that comes with the territory. It was also a bit pricey at 20 euro per night.

A typical Austrian hotel

The hotel was located about 10 minutes walk from the station in a quiet area. It is an old building and has creaky wooden floorboards. The room was a good size with a large bathroom. The beds were comfortable with a selection of pillows. There was a large selection of hot and cold food at breakfast. It was in walking distance of the lake and all the sights and there was a good choice of bars and restaurants nearby.

Excellent location in the center of town.

The location is excellent. My husband loved the breakfast buffet. The bar was a nice place to enjoy a drink after the evening ended.

The shower was in a bathtub (outdated). The windows didn’t tilt open (only fully opened). Sometimes around 3 or 4 in the morning we could hear people who were talking loudly walking home after a night on the town.

This was a great room that was in a very convenient area!

Our room came with a little sitting room that overlooked a beautiful church. The view could not have been nicer! The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. Housekeeping was very friendly and kind!

Breakfast had variety and was tasty. We were given to connecting rooms as we went there as family. It was quite comfortable.

Checkin very friendly .. Upon checkout receptionist was extremely helpful with assisting our needs.. very much appreciated .. thank you Bathroom and room very clean

The location was excellent - within 5 minutes walking distance from the lake and the main train station.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The bathroom was very small and smelled of sewerage, and the toilet was stained.

This is not a 4 star hotel.

Easy check in.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The walls were paper thin. My bathroom mirror had spit all over it and the shower didn’t drain at all. The surrounding neighbors were so loud I couldn’t sleep. Air conditioning or fan did not work so very hot in my room. The staff were very Unknowledgeable. They did not provide a dog blanket for my animal like most hotels do. So I guess dogs just sleep in the human blankets?? Gross.
