Building is unique and beautiful but rooms are as basic as they can come. There is NO KETTLE NO COFFEE NO TEA in the room. For us this was a deal breaker. Local taxes are added to costs and are quite high (30 euros for two nights). Staff seemed to be bothered and overwhelmed when we asked for help. Would recommend to just have a coffee here and skip sleeping.

The hotel has a self check-in system. It feels a bit anonymous but it works. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The beds are big and comfortable. Unfortunately there are no coffee or tea making facilities. Whatever you do, don’t eat in the restaurant. The cook simply can’t cook.

Location is just outside Maastricht, so would be difficult to get there if you don’t have a car. Rooms are of average size but clean and sufficient. We got a reduced price due to low season otherwise this would be a rather pricey hotel. The entire place is peaceful surrounded by lots of nature & trees where you can take walks. There is also a little lake in front of the building with some wildlife in it. We didn’t see or use any facilities except to have a drink at the bistro patio and breakfast in the breakfast room, where we could also sit outdoors in good weather. The check- in staff is very friendly and efficient. But best of all, the free parking! Also electro charging stations available.
