Great looking castle but the rooms are nothing like the exterior
The castle and surroundings are beautiful
The rooms are quite outdated and very basic. The carpet is very old. No slippers, no coffee in the room

good front of house, but terrible kitchen
No coffee service, cost about .80€ for four servings
One serving in the restaurant was as expected, but the steak was well below the standard of any house claiming to have a chef, the steak was returned as cold, the same plate was returned after being put under, or in the blast oven, vegetables cooked to crisp, meat over done and not to be chewed. Never again

It was a good stay.
The location is easy to get to and it is beautiful. The staff is very friendly, the room is clean and cozy.
The rooms are not even a little bit soundproof. You hear everything from the hallway or even from downstairs. That was really bothering and frustrating.

Beautiful hotel in lovely environment but worn out matraces compromised sleep quality
Beautiful scenery, lovely house with a lavish garden and many old trees.
The matraces were very worn, quality of beds not at all appropriate for this level of accommodation and not all in line with the price paid.

The ambiance of hotel and entire estate was fabulous
The young staff in the Bistro beed better training. Drinks orders got confused and on the first night of our stay we even had to tell them what we had consumed because they couldn't find our order details.

Impressive hotel and grounds make a perfect stay within easy reach of Maastricht.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff were charming and helpful. A short train or bus ride to the centre of Maastricht. Restaurant was very good with good ambience. Would definitely return and recommend.

Memorable stay for various reasons
Beautifull location. The Hotel offered prior arrangement for our trip to the Andre Rieu Concert which we accepted. This we found very accommodation prior to our stay The dinner at the Els Bistro was lovely. The view of the gardens was great (but due to heavy rain we could not experience it.
There were no coffee making facilities in the room. Upon returning the evening we enquired for hot water and was told there is a kettle in the room. It wasn't. I was feeling ill and needed hot water to make my medicine. For the price we paid we would have expected a minimum of coffee making facilities. (there were none in the other room of our family as well)
